In my opinion once Lexie was gone, Grey's was gone! The Grey's world collapsed on itself after that!

I feel that alot of the topics GA tackles is highly 'americanized'. They make me feel like its ok to do certain things that i dont believe in.. 1: the les marriage. I know it's the norm in USA but I don't believe in that at all. 2:Cristina's abortion. Same thing as stated above& I don't believe in killing life on purpose.

there are so many reasons that old fans are leaving & new fan won't join
S6-Teddy's non sense triangel,S7- CAM crazy family, Mer destroy Der's trail, S8-Cristina's aboration....

Unfortunately, I think Christina's abortion storyline on top of the lesbian marriage sl, both being storylines that were true to life and well told, turned away a lot of viewers who know these things are part of American life today, but don't agree with them or prefer to ignore them. I love Grey's and I love the fact that they don't shy away from dealing with controversial subjects, Private Practice too, but unfortunately when you tackle controversy in a public forum, you risk losing viewers and I think its obvious that has happened with GA. I just hope they can hang on and gain some new viewers like the Calzona fans who appreciate the bold, open minded approach of GA.

Love Greys - Do need Mer/Der back together and loving again - Quick --- Low ratings I believe were due to the Baseball Playoffs -Greys is #1 and will remain #1 as long as Mer/Der are back to themselves SOON!!! Come On ABC lets sign them both up for 1 or 2 more years - need them........Thanks

I've watched since season 1 very faithfully. I'm a dork and my Thursday nights revolve around GA. But, for me (just my personal opinion) the show has never been the same since Izzie and George left. I'm especially bummed about Izzie because she was my fave. BUT even with that aside, I feel like the story lines have been odd since then. The shooting, the car accident with Calzona, Callie having Mark's baby, Mark and Lexie splitting...just weird (again my opinion). I miss the way things used to be. Although Izzie and George leaving can't be helped, better storyline would. Sad to see the show taking a nose dive. It's been one of the greats!
Rank: Leading Character

I'm pretty sure Grey's Anatomy is ONLY suffering loss in viewers, because of the abortion storyline for Cristina. I didn't have a problem with it, but a lot of people did. So, as much as I am shocked that the viewers declined so fast, I wasn't really surprised.

Yes, GA is lacking a feel good factor at the moment. All der does is growl at Mer, and as Merder are my fave couple it makes it very hard going to watch this.
Smileyglen, interesting to see if the Mer and Bailey combination have worked out their feud of 8.07 by the time Gerge's mom turns up. There seemed to be a hint that they will have interaction with Mrs O'M (sorry can't remember Mrs O'M first name)

Personally I have not watched at all this season because I hate the story line. I watch to relax. I want my shows to be fantasy and usually end happy. As long as the characters I really like (MerDer) are happy, I am happy. I want my shows to be happy and make me feel good when I watch them. I keep coming here to check on what happened to see if I want to start watching again but I used to wait for every episode and now I have lost a lot of that desire to see the show.

Grey’s is losing viewers because Derek SUCKS. He has become a person that is so black and white and God forbid his wife do something in the GREY (get it?) area-- that it hurts to watch. He is unlikeable, stubborn, and completely one dimension. Honestly, I would rather see him leave the show then to keep watching him be a horse’s behind.
