Chord Overstreet is on his way back to Glee in the role of Sam Evans. And he's bringing at least one family member with him.

TV Line confirms that John Schneider, most recently seen as Clark Kent' father on Smallville (below), will appear on the Fox hit's eighth season three episode as Sam's father. This is the only installment for which he's currently scheduled and it will mark Overstreet's return, as well.

Glee airs a new episode this Tuesday. It will be titled "The First Time," will mark a major milestone for many characters and you can watch its official promo HERE.
