I really enjoyed this episode immensely and it's probably one of the more entertaining of the season for me.
My favorite thing was the Chuck and Blair scene. Sure, it was only a mere 39 seconds (but who's counting) yet the look between them and then Blair saying that he had been good the whole time- it was touching and I look forward to their continuing storyline.
I loved Blair and Serena too. They are my favorite non -romantic relationship. I loved Serena keeping Blair out of the blue and driving her a little crazy but giving her the perfect Tiffany's themed party. Then Serena and Blair talking about Chuck was great. Serena is my favorite Chair shipping character outside of Dorota.
Blair finally saw Louis for what he was and realized he's not perfect. I wanted to get down on my knees and pray for that one.
I like Ivy. I think she's actually one of the more interesting characters this season and it's kind of fun to see a character unfold before us like she is.

Best gg of te season for me. It as great to see more than perfunctory interaction between Blair and Serena.
I'm unclear on some aspects of what was going on with Grandfather, but Nate was fantastic tonight. Love him.
Ivy and Max are pretty great schemers so far.
Not sure where the bit about Chuck being a dick came from. I thought he was great this evening. I loved him pointing out that every bad thing ever going on his life wasn't really on Serena.
CB looking at each other, even as Dan snored away was amazing.

i really loved this episode. the bridal shower was amazing. it just goes to prove that serena knows blair more than anyone else and vice versa. as for the max/ivy thing i thought max was a good guy i just wish that she will not harm or hurt serena's feelings because after years and years of watching serena fall for the wrong guy is just awful. and i don't know if i will be impressed at ivy or feel sorry for all the people who believes about her lies she is just bad liar. also i'm more intrigue than ever about the secret about diana.
ps. about the college thing.. i think during episode 1 or 2 of this season serena mentioned that she will defer a semester for her to work on her job. as for the others nothing has been mentioned.
ooohhh and by the way... i didnt like the drunk Dan (the good thing its that eaven when hes drunk hes sweet!!). And i agree with @t, if you but a drunk Humphrey and a ¨wanna be¨good Bass, of course Chuck its gonna look better. I mean really Chuck saving Dan?, thats like a joke. For a minute i thought Chuck was trying to turn Dan into the ¨old Chuck¨ when he brought those girls to entertain Dan, but Dan can help it hes good guy and he just didnt fall for those things (he´s no Bass).

@GG123: Thank you!
I saw the episode, it was good as mostly everybody is saying. Like the recap mentioned, it managed to keep all the storylines interesting. Chuck and Dan were golden, Serena and Nate interacting during this season has been refreshing because it has been in an strictly friendly way and this episode proved it like 5x1 did, Charlie's storyline got a little more background and it was definetly more interesting, and they even managed to put some sense into Diana and the Grandfather storyline.
Now, over the latter, I said some sense, not all sense. The idea that this whole thing could make Nate a star sound kinda silly if you stop to consider that there should have been another way than using a cougar. William Van der Bilt is supposed to be a experienced politician, this is the best he could come up with? But funny enough, Diana Payne was the more likeable she's ever been, maybe because she showed a heart tonight. It's not unusual than when guest character start
DAIR all the way, i know my hopes are low but im still waiting on a good DAIR scene. I know people says CAHAIR are meant to be but we have already seen that on every season. They should try DAIR!!!. I used to be a Chair fan like a lot of you people but know i see the potential on DAIR, eaven for the show will be good to give a twist, GG will be all over this. I think Nate and Serena will make a good cuple, and Chuck... well he will be perfect for some little J, lol.
DAIR!!!!! please

The writers ruining Dair this way is no different than what they did to Chair. In fact, I believe they let Dair off easy. The one redeeming quality is that Chair doesn't need storylines to continue to be incredible. Their smoldering chemistry goes a long way. Whatever insignificant spark there is between Dan and Blair won't matter in the long run. Chuck and Blair are the story. Sorry to get into ships and all that, I don't mean any disrespect to Dair fans. I really feel that the writers have done many characters/couples dirty on this show.

I think Chuck is no doubt the best fit for Blair. I mean look at all he's done for her this year because he wants her happiness, so matter the cost to him. I love Chuck's growth this season and was thrilled Blair finally got it that Louis is no saint and it's been Chuck who loves her and wants her to just be happy. Chuck and Blair are soul mates.

the writers have done a great job of ruining the dair relationship (any form) by turning dan into this blubbering idiot who mops around pinning for blair. and when you pit his character against chuck who is now "reformed" ( cough cough)....of course chuck is going to look better.

Not that I'm a fan of Louis, but I just think that it was kind of wrong that Blair asks him to give up his family (practically) but she doesn't really seem to sacrifice much for him (that doesn't come with getting a royal title). I don't know, but if Blair does leave Louis, (which seems inevitable) I just hope she does it in a right way that doesn't make her look like a cruel, sadistic, manipulating user. (I love Blair, so please don't get me wrong, but you have to admit she hasn't treated Louis very well from the beginning, he's kind of the filler, she loves the fairy tale rather then the man).
Give props to Louis though, because poor guy gets bashed so much, he does pull off the tense scenes with Chuck well (in my opinion). It's like two lions squaring off when they physically size each other up lol. Chuck has the upper hand, being an expert schemer, but Louis was born into even greater priviledge, so I like those little tense scenes (which I can't really imagine being pulled of

This episode was really good. The pacing and the interaction was really fluid and nice. Perhaps the best episode this season in those terms. I was ,again, impressed with Chuck here and I now hard core ship he and Blair again. I was on the fence but it's over, these two are supposed to be together. Just a glance and you know what they're feelings. Thank you Blair Waldorf for finally seeing past Louis and for listening to Serena. Good episode.

I was a big Dair fan but this season I'm loving Chuck. I love watching him with Dan and hope to see lots of them two together. At this point I don't really care who Blair ends up with becuz I'm shipping DUCK! Lol but you know I do miss Nate and Dan's bromance. I love watching Dan fall apart and I don't think it's just because of his unrequited feelings for Blair.

It's amazing how easy it seems to make a spectacular Gossip Girl episode, and yet how rarely it happens. This is all I need, though: Serena and Blair showing why they are the best of friends, and Chuck and Blair getting even 10 seconds to show why their chemistry has spawned a 5 year love story. That's all I need, people!

This line was so fitting for the 20sec Chair scene at the end. OMG. Whatever Chuck does to win back Blair's trust, this is not the end between Chair for certain! No matter how hard Blair tries to fight it, come on Blair, you KNOW you LOVE Chuck!
