Pan Am > Pan Am Review: Truth or Dare > Comments Page 2
Best episode so far. I felt with Kate. It was just heartbreaking. And their romance so short-lived. I really hope that we somehow will see Nico again, this cannot just be it. The scene where they said goodbey ... I cried my eyes out. Kate's emotions were so present in her facial experience, no words needed there. Great acting! I really hope they continue this new amazing show! :)
I love this show!!! I was crying my eyes out when Kate and Nico were saying goodbye. When she turned around at the end, I was hoping he was following her to give her a kiss and say that he loved her too, but I guess I will have to hope they each knew that in their own way.
I tried watching it one more time because I really don't like this show but I wanted to be fair. As a child in the 60's my father was a navigator for various airlines and nothing in this show comes close to recreating that time for me.We travelled all over the world and frankly when I watch Madmen it reminds me more of this decade than this show which should conjure up that time since it covers some of the same ground that I travelled plus I lived in NYC..The apts. the stewardesses were in looked cheesy- I dont recall ever seeing such boldly patterned curtains anywhere in that time( Madmen did a much better job with the various residences they depicted)..The acting is stilted and the only interesting thing was the attraction to the sailor but even that copies so many 60's trends( Quess Who is Coming to Dinner the movie).A really boring show but they are right "Once Upon A Time will hook in the them in it did for me.I wish I had missed this flight.
Pan Am Is My Very Own Paradise On Earth.
At first the show seemed a bit "choppy" to me, maybe it's because of the frequent flashbacks? I realize it's integral to the show but it can get confusing especially with multiple storylines going on. Overall, I enjoyed this episode. I could especially identify with the storyline involving Laura and Joe because I too was miltary and in an interracial marriage. So, I can attest to the fact that even as recent as the 1980s, there was a considerable amount of hostility and at times violence was shown towards people in such relationships. The Kate and Nico story was just heartbreaking. I'm glad to see Kate realizes she's waaay in over her head. Also I like seeing the sisters bond like that, too. Of course, Maggie was just being Maggie lol. What I wish we saw last night was MORE Collette! I LOVED it that she got to "fly." I think she and Dean would make a great couple. She's stable and he needs to stop seeing 'unstable' women like Bridget and Ginny.
i still think cristina ricci is the best thing about this show. i find these spy stories really boring. they're not as cool as james bond, or alias, or even covert affairs. she's not even good at it! the amount of times kate fumbles a mission REALLY makes me question why they let her be a spy. just quietly, colette would be way better at it
IMO, best episode so far! I'm still keeping the faith for this show even though it's in the brink of cancellation!
