Vampire Diaries is really tanking this season. It's lost its way creatively. Continually reinventing its mythology is getting annoying, and the story has gotten too big and unweildy. The recent flashbacks to the Originals origins was comically bad. The show needs to get back to its roots. Elena, Damon, Stephan, Mystic Falls. Tone it down, and the story practically writes itself.

Oh I forgot to say I've always loved Caroline and Stefan. More recently I enjoy the chemistry between him and Rebekah, if they'd only give them more scenes. But he is not in the lovey dovey mood..he's so happy right now.

@rayhoffman: Dude you put into words.everything I always wanted to say but wasn't able too! Your comment should win some kind of award. As for Lord of Winter, I've seen your comments before and you come across annoyed when anyone starts commenting on delena. Just saying. I don't comment but had to this one time, I feel like ray said what a lot of people want to but aren't eloquent Enough to put into words. Just my opinion

@Rayhoffman That was a very great the things you said, Although I disagree with the whole Stefan being boring,Just don't get being a good or nice Is such.I like seeing the darkside of Stefan too,But he always been my favorite I just get sick of all the bashing he gets.Also I hope fans well continue like when he mot a ripper no more,But I'm doubtful.But It kinda sound like your say that Stefan and Elena are a bad pairing. I can kinda tell your a Damon fan and that you love Delena,That all lovely.Are you saying that Stefan Is the reason Damon can't find love,Also don't you think Stefan would be heartbroken If Damon and Elena.I'm not a hardcore Stelena fan nor am Delena.I like both pairing,I also can see the appeal of Damon and Elena.I just want to fully understand what you mean?,I really like your comment you weren't dissing nobody and It was all love.Also If Delena does happens,Who would you like to Stefan with or would rather be a loner?

Vampire diaries back to a greay show, glad that we had No Uninvited Ghost trying to kill the living! The Whole Klaus, Elijah, Rebeckia, Ester, Michael, and Anna past story is Great, but it is taking away too much from the Major Characters that Vampire Diaries is Centered on! I feel Kevin and Julie have there purpose as I heard CW may be doing a Spinoff next fall of VD! Thursday's show was Anazing, just too many characters for an hour show~~~so hopefully they are just building this new family of Characters for the possible Spinoff~~~that will be great! The Bad Ripper "No feeling" Stefan is Far more Interesting than the All Sweet Too Boring One of the Past! Paul Wesley is Far too Talented an Actor not to get the Great Scenes he has been given in Season 3, been Paul's fan for over ten years! Good to finally get to see his Real talents as an Actor! Keep up the Fantastic job Paul! Last but Very Important: I am really, really LOVING the Slow Pace of the Relationship between Damon and Elena!

I care for the originals, not just Klaus. I like him but I LOVE Elijah and beginning to love Rebekah. I have begun to love Delena also. For me this epi was great bc of the originals and delena.

See, Presence of Klaus=Good episode.
I am loving the originals so much. I love their scenes and I agree, I almost don't care at all about Delena, Alaric, Bonnie, Tyler. I like Damon and Stefan. Bad Stefan is just great.
But Klaus, omg. Joseph Morgan is just great at conveying the emotions of his character. As much as he is terrifying, I also felt so sad in that scene with his father. And I believe he does truly care for Rebecah.

Loved this episode. I just started watching VD, mainly for Delena. I love bad Stefan, he comes more alive than dull Stefan. Big props to the actress that plays Rebekkah, I thought she owned this episode. Then loved my ending Delena scene, but overall this was the best episode I've seen of this show, and clearly shows that VD has dethroned Gossip Girl by a long shot as the top show. Once again, bravo to the actress who plays Rebekkah.

To be honest, the story has become so great.. I really don't care about Delena/Stelena anymore.
I feel so sorry for Rebekah (not just because she has the same name as me), her brother lied to her & their whole relationship is based on a lie. I was glad to see Elijah back in this episode, he's such a great character. I think Rebekah should bring him back... Would make sense. I thought their were more children than 3 though? I know one died, but I was thinking maybe 6 or 7.
Stefan kind of showed emotion, he didn't want his brother to die. Elena was right, if anyone's going to bring Stefan back, it's definitely Damon.
We didn't see any Tyler, Caroline or Jeremy in this episode and we only saw Bonnie briefly. I hope next episode features a bit more of them. Especially Tyler, he's a hybrid now. Should have a major part when Klaus comes back.

Im pissed and sad that its going on hiatus! Why? Seems like just yesterday the show started from its long summer vacation. Wht im i suppose 2 watch now on thursdays @ 8pm till when did u say, january 5 2012. Noooooooooo, whyyyyyyyy. Please someone advise me as 2 what show is worth watching for this it seems like an eternity, what should i watch that can @ least for the time being relieve my sadness and bordem which is definatly going 2 set in after next thursday. Lol help wht the hell should i watch? We gotta have a serious talk w the cw, oh wait, repeats, yesssssssssssss, oh yes i can watch my favorite shows again, yesssssssss. Cw u better not fail me!

Omg! Thats why i look forward 2 thusdays 8pm. Love this show. My fave scene when elena goes 2 her room after an exhausting day of truth finding and guess who is on her bed but the one and only bad ass vamp w a heart of gold mr. Hotty pototy himself damon! Ohh lala. So funny how she was trying 2 get the blanket from underneath him and he just would nt budge, helarious! So ovious she has the hots 4 the guy, she laid in bed, closed her eyes while mr hotty laid watching her w his baby blues and she didnt kick him out! Ahhhhhhhh. If i were her n that specimen of a man was laying beside me i can asure u of one thing, i wouldnt be sleeping if u catch my drift (wink, wink) lmfao!! Ok now 2 the serious stuff ppl, rebeka, wht can i say but she broke my heart it was so sad 2 see her fall 2 he knees when elena broke the news that her loving bro is a lying dick and killed their mother! I knew claus was a dick but dam he is ruthless. Yeaaaa glad 2 see alajia back and hope 2 see more of him. Loved th

Actually, with the set up, Dawson/Joey are Stelena if a vampire romance could be a couple. Stelena was the original pairing, she always saw herself with him, he is safe. She ended up with Joey like shell end up with Damon. Dawson loved his work to much, Stefan loves to be free of her. He doesn't want to work at a relationship. Pacey was wild and crazy like Damon but there love grounds them and makes them better. Joey and Elena would only hold back Dawson and Stefan.

I hope by klaus waking up first that the show dosent expect us to believe thats what makes him the oldest vampire.......Im having a hard time believing that hes the oldest.Elija owns his poor mans thor ass.

Damon and Elena remind me of Dawson and Joey.. We all know how THAT ended. Sorry but I just don't see those two being more then good friends. Elena cares for Damen and though his humanity shows he still "does things he shouldn't" like killing Alaric and that will keep her from a relationship with Damon. Stefan at his worst still saved his brother and Elena.
As for him being able to only drink so much at the bar.. Lexi detox ring a bell? He does not have the overwhelming hunger he did but he can now go either way..now he has to make a choice.. Care, be "free", or be a ripper.
I now understand why Mikeal and Elijah both want to stop Klous. By the end of the eppisode I felt bad for Rebekah. I'm sure once Rebekah process the news she will be the one to revive Elijah and help if not off the vindictive, desparit, and needy Klous. I do kinda feel bad for Nicklous though. This episode wasn't stunning but I liked it. The original siblings were so cute in that scene in the village after their mom died. I don't want them to be apart, I guess that means I don't want Klaus dead. He is a super-super-supernatural creature: werewolf + original vampire + son of a witch (lol), how monstruous and disturbing is that?
However, his mixed kind didn't make him a monster, lack of love and respect did. His father -who wasn't actually his real father- hated him and his mom turned her back on him, choosing her husband over her son. She apparently lied to him about his biological father (who was murdered by Mikael before Klaus ever got to know him).
What a mess! that guy has every right to be fucked-up!! And what about Rebekah? She may be the only one that cared for him and now she realizes that this precious family bond was based on a lie. Please Bekah go find Elijah! He seems to be the only truthful and reasonnable Original. The title was well-chosen by the way.

Explain please, you say Klaus was different and alone since birth? But how was he different, he had a werewolf gene but it was dormant, plus the whole village was full of werewolves so how was he different? It was only when turned into a vampire that he became different, I guess because even though dormant the werewolf gene was heightened? But all that didn't happen until they were older.
As for Stelana/Delena, whatever. Maybe it's because I'm older then most here but I watch for the story of it not whose dating who. If I wanted that I'd just watch 90210 or something.
