Loved this episode! Bring Elijah back...somehow...please? Oh, and I hope that Damon and Elena get together. I truly think they fit together much better than her and Stephan. Stephan is too...high maintenance. All his woe is me, I hate myself, Must eat rabbits, save the humans. Blah.
I enjoyed this episode. It left a lot unanswered but that is usually how these shows go. I'm still a Damon fan but I think all that pent up passion should be focused on a new love interest character rather than Elena. *shrug* Maybe next week will be as good or better.

Vikings did land in Canada (Newfoundland)around 800AD. The remains of a Viking (Norse) encampment was discovered there in 1960. So it's not really that much of a stretch to think that they also explored down the east coast of North America. Mystic Falls with its plantations would probably have been on a river as almost all Virginia plantations were(although I don't remember this being a part of the town landscape).

I loved the episode, flashbacks are always winners with me. HOWEVER, I did have one problem (admittedly minor) with Stefan's scenes in the bar. We have had it pounded in this season that Stefan is a RIPPER, that once he starts drinking blood, he can't stop. Isn't that where most of the suspense was in the "The Reckoning" when Klaus compelled Stefan to drink Elena's blood, when he shouted at Elena "I'm a ripper, I'm not going to be able to stop!" So, why then was Stefan able to drink just a bit from the girl in the bar and then stop and let her walk away. I know this is not pertinent to the story line, but I hate the inconsistencies!
Aside from that and the fact that Katherine's fate is still a mystery after 2 weeks, I thought the episode was fantastic. The Lockwood's family secret doesn't seem like such a stretch after having it explained that the Original family...originated in Mystic Falls before it was ever Mystic Falls. Ok, so I still think it's a bit of a stretch, but a bit mo

I loved this episode.my favorite part was when rebekah was telling Elena about there family and how they became vampires and everything that happened.when the one flashback of klaus saying that he feared his father and them rebekah saying that everyone feared him I knew right away that Michael was there father.i think that Katherine is still alive and will show up later in one of the episodes .i also loved the part where Elena came back to the house and told rebekah the truth that klaus was the one that really ripped out there mothers heart not there father.i felt do bad for rebekah when she found our that some one she trusted her whole life betrayed her and lied to her about something really important and then seeing her cry throught the end of the episode.i also liked the part where Damon and Elena where talking in her bed and she told him something's about rebekah and he told her about Stefan.i can't wait for the next episode it looks really good.
I actually think this is one of those episodes to re-watch, as there was so much information. Now, last week, the scene with Elena and Stefan where she states she will not wait forever was brilliant...Stefan's face was filled with so emotion...planted me right on "Team Stelena" (a place I haven't been since the relationship got boring towards the end of Season 2. Then, last night, the final scene in the bed...wham! Right back on "Team Delena"...TVD writers sure know how to write an emotional yet simple scene, huh? I am also digging the parallels between characters: Elena/Rebekah, Jeremy/Alaric.. The one thing I am struggling with is that Klaus is much more evil and manipulative that I thought...yet, there is still something that makes me feel bad for him. Finally, bravo to the reviewer for pointing out that Stefan is MUCH happier this way...I actually didn't even think of it like that... I have to say, the TVD writers can really create characters with multiple layers...good for

That episode...was awesome! I mean it was awesome just by seeing Elijah again but I love how Klaus is just the Original Damon, rejected and kicked about by the people he cared about and shuts off all feelings just to deal. He's bad...and sad and pathetic at the same time, and kind of lonely even though he'd never admit it.. Rebekah is the original Elena, she loves w/o limits to her detriment and she just wants to have friends and be happy. She's actually surprisingly sweet. Elijah has and always will be the Awesome one. Stefan is more like Damon then most fans of the show (myself excluded not to toot my own horn) ever realized. For the record I liked Damon's plan and he worded it perfectly, there is nothing wrong with going to the edge just don't bloody go over it! I thought they had like seven siblings or something so what gives with the numbers? And the Original Witch stuff was interesting as well though I'd still like some confirmation and more info on that.

the begging of the end started! Excellent!
I love the way they introduced the whole story! So 5 out of 9 Originals, nice! So does Henrick count in one of 9 or ?
Becca! Claire Holt is an amazing actress and I like her! I see her struggeling between brother and father! but there is one mistake how could she enter the mansion when elena didn't invite her! But I can see her stick around and torture Caroline a little more! I really enjoyed her breakdown really sincere!
Elena! She being in training to learn to protect herself is really good and I love they stick to it! I hope they say us why the curse was tied to a Petrova doppelganger soon! And there should be an other, the original doppelganger! She is probably alive just as a Katarina Vampire.
By the way this FAMILY has Issues!
Converting them for protection! That is a nice way to make the flow!
Papa and Mom Vamp did a nice Job! I love the way they showed of their dad and the way has no mercy!

Amazing show, I swear with the exception of last week its getting better and better. The most epic scene was def. The last one. Stelena fans b*tch if they get to sexy or if they are to sweet, just stop whining about it If we aren't allowed to comment love for delena. Atleast Damon is happy now, Stefan was always brooding when he was with Elena. The look on their faces in bed together were so peaceful and happy. Even after she admitted Stefan loved Damon more then her, she's come to terms with it. Left me wanting more!!! Rebekah is becoming a fave of mine. Klaus looks hawt with long hair and Elijah Is missed. Mike is brutal as h*ll and the mom is underwhelming. I feel for them bc they never wanted this, hope Rebekah and Elijah don't die. My 2 cents if Its allowed
Great episode! Cried with Rebekah, enjoyed the so called brother bonding and Stefan's feelings breaking through (didn't Rose say there isn't really a 'switch')and just loved the Delena scenes of course.
My only question is who 'wrote' the true story in the cave and stopped vampires from entering?

OMG this episode was great! I loved the whole original family story and hopefully now that everything is out, everyone will go kill Klaus. That would be great, as Stefan's compulsion will wear off and him and Elena can finally be together! Stefan can never leave, if he leaves there's no more point to this show, as the whole show is about him and Elena's love.
Also, it was good to see that Damon finally admitted to his brother that he owes him everything, since Stefan is in the position that he is now because he saved Damon's life. That's right Damon, and you better never forget that and go steel his woman.
Oh and the last scene of Damon and Elena was so boring again and so forced. The only chemistry they have is the brother and sister one, so Damon better forget about her and maybe go after Rebecca, as she seems to be in need of some love these days.
