In this version of Mer's life, will Ellis have tried to have cut her wrists when Webber left? Will Mer have been the thorn in her mother's side as a rebellious daughter? All the previous scenes of Kate Burton's as Ellis will never have happened. Maybe the MerMom dynamic will be different and Ellis won't be so critical of Mer this time

@ Andrea - Keep drinking the kool aid .TR got him fired .Seriously ???
He was fired because he went on national TV and repeated the offensive behavior he originally did on set .He then tried to sue ABC twice and thats the reason he will never be back .And he had a history of asshattery before getting to Grey's.He was previously fired twice from other shows for scummy behavior .He physically assaulted a crew member and the second time for getting handsy with a co-star,exploding with rage when she complained ,verbally abusing in turn a producer then the director before having to be escorted off set by the police)
And they have already said that KW is the ONLY FORMER REGULAR that will make an appearance,so no TR,KH or BS. And Finn won't be back because COD works for CBS now

Bring Burke back please!! He was my (and many others) favorite character!!! Idk why it's ok for T.R to leave after he got Washington fired and Washington cannot come back! He was excellent and a great example and role model for all the characters on the show!! Bring him back he was a million times better with Cristina than Owens!!! She would be a cardio god by now if Burke was still there!! BURKE BURKE BURKE!!!!! Please!!!!

I can do without Izzy and Burke. I found Izzy to be whiny and annoying. As for Burke, he needs a backbone.
I'm also glad Shondra wrote Zola out. Keep it that way.

I really hope they bring back ERICA HAHN!!! She and Callie have unfinished business and it would be nice if they could get some official closure.
Same can be said for Burke. George could come back and we could see him interact with Arizona, Izzie i wouldn't mind :P

I'm quite excited! I enjoyed her character & her story line. It will be interesting to see what she's like without alzheimers. I'm kind of sad they are putting Ad & Der back together. I think him and Mer are just so cute together. But this should be interesting(:

It's been 5 years - I would love to see Burke visit Seattle Grace again. I'm not hopeful it will happen, but that could be a fantastic storyline.

Ye do know that T.R Knight and Katherine Heigl left on their own accord. That wasn't Shonda's decision. No need to call her a bitch when George and Izzie leaving was not her doing. Issaih Washington was fired because he made homophobic slurs to T.R Knight so there is no way he is coming back. I on the other hand am very excited to see both Kate Burton and Kate Walsh back on Grey's. Very intersted to see how all their would have turned out. Curious to see how Callie's life would have been different. Would she have been with Mark? Where does Arizona fit into all of this? Febuary can't come quick enough.

I couldn't see the actors playing Burke or Izzie returning because of the way they left GA. To have more former guests of GA turn up would over crowd the episode,.But it would be interesting to see Finn again cos he was a really nice bloke and he predicted correctly that Der would hurt Mer again.
I have to say I'm happy that Ellis is making a return. If Der gets Ad back, then Mer should get her mom back from the grave. Ellis must be taking the meds she needed for her heart condition to be in Mer's fantasy world. Would Ellis be doing the diabetes clinical trial that Webber set up?? Will Mer have Adele still suffering from Altzhiemers? Would Der have even have started the Altzhiemers clinical trial without Mer as his inspiration?
Would/could it be that Der too wonders about how simpler his life would be if he stuck with Ad and avoided the complications that Mer has brought into his life?
I do hope this episode doesn't disappoint me the way that the musical episode and the 'Time war

1. seriously cant wait for this episode to air.
2. Kate Walsh (Addison) is the only former series regular returning. That means no Burke, Izzie, George, or Erica Hahn.
3. Grey's had its midseason finale a couple of weeks ago. It will be on break (like all primetime shows) until January 5th.

@tiffany your gonna be waiting another 4 weeks, GA doesn't return until 5th jan 2012. Oh and they did advertise it was the mid season finale you must of missed it.
All I'll suggest is keep checking sites like greys gabble for info, that should keep you entertained :-)

Hmmmm I wonder if she and the chief would be an item... I hope not. I like Adele better. Its a shame Adele never had a child with Richard. I want Izzie to come back. Just for one ep and not be the pathetic wench she was. I doubt it tho cuz they would have let it slip already.
I hope we see George too. I don't think Mer would want george dead in any reality.
