Good news is that since chuck *series* has ended i think josh schwartz will have some time for gossip girl now and who knows it could be good again coz i really have faith for this show...
Its really funny how big this show is outside the US coz my cousins from Nigeria called me even asking me how the promo for the 100th ep is here in America, she even said teens and young adults are GG crazy over there.*trust me i know my country they find it hard to accept things* i was suprised at what she said and i guess the international rec and online buzz is one of the reason the Cw keep renewing the show even as ratings tanks*they make their cash afterall*...i'm so hoping this show goes back to being good starting from tonight

"Yes, Blair does experience some cold feet…and a panic attack right before the wedding. Like mother, like daughter apparently, as Eleanor’s wedding to Harold started late to give her Xanax time to kick in. Before her marriage to Cyrus, however, Eleanor was cool as a cucumber, so seeing her daughter freaking out before her wedding leads Eleanor to make a big decision to invite a certain person to crash the wedding."
– I just found this as a synopsis of this episode…. This and the photos showing Eleanor, Blair and Chuck in the same room leads me to believe that Eleanor will get Chuck to stop the wedding… Well, what a twist?

Ugh, why is everyone so excited and why is Serena encouraging Blair to go through with the wedding?? Shouldn´t they get the poor girl a therapist instead??

One week Chuck is good, the next he's evil and scheming. One week CB are friendly, the next B is angry, or C is sulky. This show is all over the place. It needs to end. I have yet to watch one full episode. Who cares about Serena, Nate, or Rufus and Lily. Or, I almost forgot, Charley. Ick. I wonder if this show is beyond redemption?

1. Safran is "sort of" proud or happy about the episode...maybe thats a good thing cos usually when he is super excited, the episode is super lame.
2. lots of tears....yes, I agree with that statement because as I will hear "Young Folks" playing I will remember how incredible the pilot was and the rest of s1, and how messed up everything is...
3. I feel like nobody will get anything out of the pilot, no matter who you ship.

the producers are trying TOO HARD to excite us about this episode and I don't think this is right.. I have this strong feeling that we're all gonna be disappointed in it.. When you're trying this hard for something you make other have really high expectations.. which i believe will be ruined after tonight.. I really really hope I'm wrong!!! I honestly do.. I also think that this wedding is the worst thing Blair could do.. it'll ruin her life if it happens (which i don't believe it will).. She'll go away with Chuck.. or Dan.. I don't know.. She'll go away! I can't wait to see what happens but i try no to have great expectation 'cause i think they'll be ruined!

How Serena is trying to excite Blair for her wedding disgusts me. Serena WITNESSED Blair only agreeing to marry Louis for Chuck's health. She must know in that tiny blonde brain of hers that this marriage is the worst thing possible that her friend could do. A good friend would try to snap her BFF out of this madness and get her help, not get caught up with the sparkles and glitz of a royal wedding! Pathetic.
Where did the good writers go?

Urrghhh... Josh is *so* giddy about this one it makes me queasy. If he thinks it's great, I just know from previous disappointments that it's likely to suck. I may need to re-watch Victor, Victrola Monday night instead of this potential mess.
And what is up with Serena's wardrobe this season? Did Vanessa leave some clothes behind at the loft when she left and Serena thought they were hers? Blech.

Safran is really trying to pull in the ratings with this one. And guess what? I bet this episode will suck. Why would I care about my once favorite character who is now a pathetic imitation of the character she used to be, marrying a prince who I imagine being stabbed repeatedly by members of the show and left to die in a raging inferno so his accent can never be heard again? Oh right, I don't.
(I mean the character on the show, not the actor. Not THAT disturbed.)

Cry? Over this show? ROFLMAO... never going to happen.
If one were going to cry over GG, I would suggest crying over the fact the show went down the shitter in season 3. Or cry about all the wasted time you spent watching this show. Or cry about the fact that Safran doesn't plan on this show ending right away.
This episode will be my background music to homework, as per usual.

What does the show really need? Safran to be sacked, because he can't write his way out of a paper bag and is just the kiss of death for the show, and a new team of writers who actually know how to follow through with storylines and connect them in logical ways. Those changes should have been made awhile ago as the ratings continue to tank.

The show also REALLY needs to also acknowledge the hole that the departure of Taylor, Connor, and (whether you liked her or not) Jessica has left on the show. Soap operas are all about twisted entanglements and ties, and many are darn near incestuous. Because people get attached to characters with history, most long running soaps have no problem recasting.
Personally, I feel that when Taylor bowed out, Jenny ought to have been recast. Love her or hate her, J is huge in the GG books, and on the show. Fans say that Season 4 was better than 3, but I disagree -- 4 wasn't as good without her.
Also, what the heck is Jessica Szohr doing? I know most viewers hate her, but V needs to get her annoying arse back from Spain. She has a LOT to answer for with that novel. Safran & Co, you want to run plot-driven eps, get the players that SHAKE UP THE PLOT back!

Uncle Jackass -- totally agree. I always like your posts.
I think a lot of us are re-assessing the show. It's not just Chair vs. Dair, seriously. I want Nate to have a SL. Sure, Chace might just be the show's eye candy, but I am sick of lazy writers relegating him to cougar hell (I say that without malice -- I'm darn near cougar age myself). Blake's movie career is really taking off, but I don't think she's just punching the clock on GG. I think her work this season has been her finest on the show, so give her a non-boy related SL. I HATED that they dropped Jane/Hollywood; in the books, Serena was a breakout movie star. Talk about a way to bring Blerena tension SL back, esp. when (not if) Blouis ends.

@Dr. Holland, impressive character analysis. For me it was quite objective given fan base bias.
For me the 100th episode is truly a make it or break it episode. Given the homage to the first season episodes it has to convey so much but expectations in the past have always led to some disappointment. Rather than say that it is a boycott of the show I would rather state that this episode marks the collimation of episodes of characters that we have grown to love or hate. After watching the 100th episode you will no doubt have to ask yourself if it was worth the loyalty or just watch it adrift to a show that has passed it's overdue date.
