Do people not understand that it's virtually impossible to get all of your needs met by the same person? Just because Blair is intellectually stimulated by Dan does not under any circumstances mean that the two would make a good couple. There is simply no spark between them. When they're on screen together, sure they have a great dynamic, but it's not exciting or moving. I've been watching this show since the very first episode and practically since then it has been Blair and Chuck learning and growing together as people. Blair and Dan have always been separate from one another, there has been no relationship building, at least not much. I just simply will never understand why men and women on these shows can't just be friends and that's all. As a friendship I am a Dair shipper all the way, but in terms of a relationship, I think it's still unnecessary and frankly a little silly.

@vanessa - totally agree with you.
absolutely love DAIR. Have to say for the first time in four years I actually like Chuck this season, especially his friendship with Dan and Nate and Monkey and Lily. But wasn't happy with how things turned out in the cliffhanger and frankly just watching for pure amusement now.I hope Blair hurrys up and picks somebody or nobody because all these love pentangles are destroying the show. Maybe they should give us more Valley Girl episodes. May wish list for 2012 - DAIR. Chair and baby. Time for Louis to go home or have an affair with S. Carter comes back to be with S. Nate and Ivy hook up. Lily and Rufus have more to do with the plotline. More Chuck/Lily scenes. More Dorota/Blair scenes. Did I miss anyone? Oh yeah, bring back Jenny Humphrey!!

Nah it's about chemistry and electricity this is TV!
Just watched Valley Girls where chuck made her Fairytale prom come true - amazing!
But we do need this boring love triangle plot to come to an end - Blair make your choice already maybe then the other characters can get some screen time.

Dan and Blair aren't the only smart ones on the show, you can tell by some of the references Chuck makes that he is intelligent. Dan just likes to flaunt it around because it is pretty much his only likeable attribute. That said, his constant references to old movies and books are cliche and dull after a while.

i keep reading that Dan doesn't love Blair's scheming, and so doesn't love all of her. um, he went WITH HER to hunt down Juliet when Serena was in rehab. Dan staged the kiss with Blair so Louis handler would see them, knowing Serena would find out. He actively takes part in Blair's schemes. Dan tells her they'll blow up in her face, but he goes along with them anyway! So, this whole Dan doesn't love Blair's dark side/scheming argument is invalid.
where Dan embraces scheming Blair and intellectual Blair, Chuck only embraces scheming Blair. I've yet to see Chuck/Blair do anything intellectual together. Chuck didn't go to college, didn't care about education at all in high school (paid someone else to take his SATs). So Chuck and Blair are actually lacking an important bond that Dan/Blair have. Meaning Dair is well rounded, whereas Chair isn't. Even Louis and Blair hung out at the museums in Paris. Electricity and chemistry doesn't trump everything.

I too am a hardcore chair shipper.
I understand the reason some people like the whole Dair relationship, but for me I like the games, electricity between chuck and Blair we saw in seasons past and nothing else lives up to that and never will.
Whether right or wrong they do love each other, Blair especially has tried move on but in her heart she's always wanted him she understands him and he her! Dan I think loves her and knows a side of her that mirrors his but he does not love all of her and by that i mean the scheming, treads on people to get what she wants Blair and I don't think he ever will. It's who she is and I personally don't wanna lose that Blair which seems inevitable with dull Humphrey.
Anyway we will see if I'm wrong once Dair happens I may change my mind - cough!
Oh and let's see more Duck, Chily and Chate please

I'm a chair fan and i like dair friendship.
I want blair and chuck together but i think that before this both of them need to mature. Chuck's change has been amazing,he was the most childish character and in my opinion he's becoming one of the most respetable men in the show. I also think Blair has changed, but not as much as Chuck. She needs to be alone in order to figure out what she really wants.
As for Dan, i prefered him in the very beginnig of the show. He was sensible and definetely the most mature. Know he is different. For example, all the book thing. He dind't behave like an adult. He didn't use to care about what other people thought about him.
That's just my opinion, and i respect other's opinion. Sorry if you don't understand something, i'm from spain

Why does everyone think Blair is so innocent? I don't ship dair or chair, but both of you act as if blair is this perfect person who deserves pure happiness, doesn't matter if it makes other people unhappy. You say that chuck whoring her out for a hotel is so wrong, well why don't you try watching the beginning of season 3 when Blair pretty much does the same thing to chuck for a much pettier reason- because she wants a fucking speech. Seriously guys, you need to open your eyes. Blair isn't perfect.

Seriously, have you been watching the same programme?? No epic love vibe, REALLY?? Why was Blair thinking of chuck when kissing dan if there has never been any epic love between then. U need to open your eyes and see the spark!!!!! Look at all the selfless things that they have done for each other in the past, true love isn't easy, though dan thinks it is!! Boredom in a relationship isn't healthy, I know from experience that my friends are not happy as they have settled for what's easy. Is rhat what u wNt fir dair?? You need to fight for TRUE Love!!! I

Part 2 - On Gossip Girl, Chuck and Blair, has been boring since season 3 and has actually become a pain in the ass. The only reason I am for Dan and Blair is because I love their banters and because Dan is the only guy I can actually stand beside Nate in the show. Sure as hell, even Dan and Blair will become boring at some point. So why can't we just give it a try? I just want to see how they are together. Who knows, maybe I will change my mind later or maybe some Chair shippers will change their minds.

Part 1 - Every pairing on every show kind of gets boring when they get together. On One Tree Hill, after Brooke/Peyton and Lucas got together it got boring. On The Vampire Diaries, Stefan and Elena has been boring and once they some how get Damon and Elena together, I am pretty sure it will become boring as well. I think that reason that the writers has not yet put them together is because they don't want to lose a good thing.

(Continued) Serena is a much better person than Blair and I have no fucking idea where people are getting these ideas that she is only interested in things to do with her. Blair deserves someone as self absorbed and up themselves as she is like chuck, not dan, probably the best and sweetest guy on the show. Let him be with serena because he is a much better person with her and they have so much more similar personalities! Derena have been going since season 1.
