Carrie Bradsahw is returning to the small screen. A younger version of Carrie Bradshaw, that is.

The CW has greenlighted a pilot based on The Carrie Diaries, Candace Bushnell's prequel to Sex and the City. The story will revolve around the character Sarah Jessica Parker made famous, setting her in senior year of high school in 1980s Mahattan.

Among others, Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage (Gossip Girl, Hart of Dixie) will produce the series, which ought to create major buzz surrounding the key question of: Who should play a teenage version of Carrie Bradshaw?

The network has also made official its pick-up of Arrow, based on The Green Arrow comic book; and announced an upcoming version of Beauty and the Beast that will reportedly add a procedural element to the classic fairy tale.

the show has to have an interesting and approachable cast, the writing must be sexy and emotional. So it has chance to be and winwin!

Beauty and the Beast should be good.
The Carrie Diaries should be fun, but considering Carrie got an abortion before the series, just as she moved to New York, would probably cause a stir up in the show and PTC.
Green Arrow is only worth it if Justin Harley plays it OR if it is set with him at the age of 18 or such. At least 15 years before Smallville.

This is awesomr!

I'm so pumped!! I read both of The Carrie Diaries books and they were awesome. Let's hope for a full season order!

Is this the super-secret project that Dianna Agron has tucked in her back pocket?
