@Give me some dair: thank you for that - I think that's a very honest potrayal of what Dan can give to Blair.
And I think it goes both ways - Blair always puts everything she is into being the best girlfriend she can be, for whomever she is with.
If the writers keep them true to character, whether DAIR is endgame or not it should be a beautiful romance - these are the two biggest romantics on the show, who are both big on the grand gestures, and hopefully the show will utilise those traits.
@kaye ellison Very well said. What they have is pure simple love. Dair is like water, it flows naturally and you may call it boring, but you just can't survive without it.

I wouldn't deny that there is a passion between Chuck and Blair. But there is a sweetness between Dan and Blair. And I think I prefer the sweetness. Life, after all, is not about grand moments. It's about quiet little moments. I can imagine Dan and Blair in those quiet little moments, but not Chuck and Blair.

Someone on IMDB "This is a writer's consistency when they write Dan: whenever he's in love, he goes all in. Nothing else matters than the person he loves. He was postponing his career for Serena, just as he was choosing Blair over his writing career when Chuck framed him last episode. The only difference is in how the girls reacted. Serena simply took it for granted, like it was something that was owed to her, and Blair didn't. Being put first is not something Blair is used to, whether it was a hotel, or a monegasc family, she was always second choice. Now it's time for her to come first... not to mention the whole situation is probably a huge moral boost for her; she always had an inferiority complex when she was near Serena. And now, the guy they both love, actually chose her..."

@gossip girl I would say that it is a fair assumption. Twilight fans can identify with Chair. Both male protagonists have a constant pained face and can't emote to save their lives. At least, Edward respects Bella and doesn't treat her like a property. Dair is for more mature fans who understand the true meaning of love and want Blair to have a happy life and relationship.

I just don't even get how anyone can appreciate Dair! They have zero chemistry and honestly them being together feels almost incestuous! The one thing that I hate about all these tv shows is that they treat relationships as a joke! There is no way that in a real situation Blair would give up on Chuck (the absolute love of her life - or at least that's what the last four seasons have led us to believe)No one is that fickle minded! You cannot proclaim your love for someone for four years and forget about them in less than a week, that is just hilarious!

So Chuck has to cheat in order for Chair to work? What? Blair's not allowed to be with other guys but Chuck can sleep around?
So by worthy do you mean sexual property because that's what this sounds like.
@Remedy I don't think Blair has any moral left or self respect for that matter after their whole fiascoes in the past 3 seasons where her character became degraded as a whiny, pathetic little girl.
I wouldn't be surprised because all the writers have done is ruin every character and relationship.

I love CHAIR and I ship Harry Potter/Ginny Weasley! I also prefer Harry Potter over Twilight.
HP and HG are just friends and can never be lovers, just like Dan and Blair.

And I've accepted Dair aren't endgame, but why are people so hasty for Chuck and Blair. They have chemistry, and what not when they're not together. They can't be Chuck and Blair together, that's why they had to compromise in terms of being their realselves and being in a relationship. I don't want them together again because when they were, it was so boring. I prefered the buildup to their relationship. If Dan and Blair don't work, have her move on to someone else or perhaps let her be single for a why so people can stop complaining about her changing her morals in order to suit the men in her life.

I'm losing more faith in Dan and Blair with each passing day. I would have more faith if they didn't have Blair fall for Dan in like one episode? But whatever, I just hope and I keep saying this are still friends cause their interactions are gold. And knowing the writers and this show I will take whatever I can get of Dan and Blair. So together, friends or not I don't want their association to be dead by season 6.

Look...devoted Chuck Bass fans NEED to see our Chuck with a worthy lady. I wanted it to be Blair, but the writers wanted Blair to be with Dan. BOOOOORING!!!!! Now that Blair's with Dan, please writers, bring back Eva or even Jenny for Chuck. Serena would be another choice. Let Serena and Chuck console each other. Blair needs to see Chuck with another woman and it needs to be someone Blair knows he could fall for. Blair was always jealous when Chuck was with Eva, Jenny or what'sher face...the black girl...just don't bring her back. This loyal GG fan and my friends who always watch GG LOVED the sexual chemistry between GG characters. This season seems to have been written by celibate nuns or monks. What gives??? I think it stinks that the writers threw away this whole season with the Dan/Blair story line.

Nobody has stopped to think that maybe Chuck loved the idea of Eva and Raina. Chuck loved the idea that a woman like Eva who was like an angel on Earth could love somebody like him, or a guy who had only the best quailities of him (Henry Prince). Chuck loved the idea of having a deep conection with a woman who had a similar past like him, like Raina (raised in hotel, businessman fathers, increased libido, etc.). They were small projections of Blair in a sense too. Chuck thinks Blair is an angel, "drawned to the dark side", but still an angel, because he screwed up and couldn't have her he loved the idea of a bigger angel (Eva). Chuck loved the idea of had found someone with even a more similar backgrond to his than Blair (Raina).

@gossip girl Yeah, I would say it is quite true. To me it is more like, those who worship CHAIR, like/think/believe that everyone should marry their 1st love and live happily ever after. Those who worship DAIR are the ones that love the underdog team to win over the raining Champions in any kind of sport and Love a good story/plot line

@gossip girl I was fine with the pairings on HP. Maybe because it was never about the pairings anyway. But five years later, when I think about it, I do feel that HP and HG belonged together.

They wont last. I predict they will over with the next three eps. She get with chuck then go back to Dan and become preg and wont know whos the father chuck or dan and thats how the show will end
