Hart of Dixie Review: Tuckered Out

at . Comments

A possible fatality. A name change. The outing of multiple secrets and a phone call to Zoe's father.

Oh, yes, Hart of Dixie sure gave fans plenty to consider with "Tributes & Triangles," the show's final new episode until April 9.

The Man of the Year

Forget Man of the Year. This was easily the Episode of the Year, at least as far as drama is concerned.

For those who sometimes complain that little actually takes place in Bluebell aside from sarcastic remarks and a few rather trite storylines that are typically wrapped up within the hour (cough... cough... yours truly... cough... cough...), this installment proved otherwise.

We were treated to major movement on the George and Zoe front, though I expect that to create some serious backlash among Team Wade members. And for good reason. What happened to that 2011 finale? Where Zoe accepted that George was with Lemon and strongly hinted that she's see what could happen between her and Wade?

It would be fine if the show explored that in some way, or gave us any indication that Zoe just couldn't fight her feelings for George. But have we really seen any of that? Over the last few weeks, Zoe and Wade simply continued to bicker like always, while we've scarcely spent any time with her and George. Her heartfelt speech about Bluebell's best lawyer sort of came out of nowhere here, didn't it?

But at least it's progress. Significant progress, at that, and connected to the intriguing development of Zoe's father coming down to operate on George's father. Kudos to the series for tying things together well in that regard. It has at least been consistent in showing that George and Zoe can talk about important life issues, such as family, while George and Lemon... they mostly just talk about whatever southern tradition she's worried about each week.

Is that enough to sell Wade fans on George? You tell me. The former does seem to have a lot more personality than the former, as his song attempts with Magnolia may have come across as random, but they still made me chuckle.

So Hart of Dixie now takes a long break with many questions in the air: Will George's dad survive? What kind of effect will Zoe's dad have on his daughter? Will George and Lemon still go through with their wedding? Will Wade just walk around with his shirt off to show Zoe what she's missing?

And will a petition be passed around to pressure Zoe into changing her name to Zoe Bon Jovi? Because, let's face it, that would be awesome.

What did everything else think of this episode and its most pressing development? Are you on board with George and Zoe? Or are you wondering why Wade was never given a chance?

I was recently ietketcd for an MIP in the state of michigan. My friends who were with me and got tickets as well have already gone to court for it but when my lawyer called the court they had not recieved my ticket and has no record of me being in the car. Does anyone know what happens in a situation like this? Can I get out of the charges? i'm still waiting to here what to do next from my lawyer.

I love Zoey and George together and I have been waiting from the first episode to see them finally get a chance! George and Lemon don't work whereas Levon and Lemon rock together! I like Zoe and Wade but they just aren't believable to me...I don't feel the chemistry the way I do with George and Zoey. I can't wait for the show to come back in April!

I wish Lemon's character would die. She is so, so, SO over the top. (She is the only character that I don't like on the show.) The delay of Zade is ridiculous. I don't feel any chemistry between George and Zoe... maybe he just sees her as an anti-Lemon girl, and I could understand how a girl like Zoe has so much appeal next to Lemon. Levon is also way to good for Lemon.

I like the characters, but this show just doesn't have enough material to last long. I like the Wade/Zoe chemistry, but I can understand why the writers keep postponing their story. They'll certainly need it if they get renewed for a second season. Good actors, bad script.

The CW's delay of Zoe and Wade is going to tank this show. It is obvious that the two should be together and it is unrealistic that more has not happened between the two.

Zoe and george? really.. after not seeing these two together for weeks now I am suppose to be happy that they seem to like each other? Because Zoe just hid her feelings?? Newsflash, that doesn't work, we are suppose to know what is going on if you want us to care about it. To me it just seems that they don't know what to do about Zoe's lovelife and, just for fun, trow it in every direction ugh.

Part 2
I just read T's comment and I wholly agree. Really I forgot to mention this bit but really? Holding with another girl though you're engaged yea he is just *smh* PLEASE PLEASE use basic common decency and sense - are they retarded? Lemon is outside, Wade who as was pointed out an honourable and good friend who obviously despite his childish activities cares about Zoe, are standing there. Yea and George is the better man- he basically just emotionally cheated on Lemon. Lemon btw at the end actually wrought a moment of almost sadness from me. But mainly Wade's look was just sad and heartbroken. Also Zoe smiled like a little smile and I am like are you joking? Are you happy that an engaged man is holding your hand?
I give up, give me Wade, she obviously doesn't deserve him.
And I was all for team W/Z

I just don't get why anyone would be on George and Zoe, he is soo boring, I see him and I go ok, get your lines out and leave. And geez Lemon is just smh Magnolia is just an awful brat. I am hoping the lot of them read off into the sunset together. Heck I prefer Brick to either of his daughters or George, I feel sorry for Scott Porter, but his vanilla character is enough to send me to sleep. Yes he is a good guy, the golden boy of the town, what else does he have going? Don't even tell me that blaming Lemon showed flaws in his character, it doesn't in my opinion, it was just inserting so Zoe looks like the good guy in his head rekindling this pentagon (if one includes Lemon and Lavon) and forgetting last year's I am not going to be gaga over a soon to be married man. Sigh I am absolutely disheartened we may end up with Zoe and George sigh so vanilla....

Sorry but I am so ecstatic that Zoe and George and getting closer. Wade is an ass. Zoe tried to get things going and he was rude and just made fun of her. Sorry but he doesn't deserve her. I do not want those two to get together. He is just not right for her and she deserves but better than an immature boy. I liked Lemon and Levon. Lemon isn't such a priss around him which is beautiful to see. And George and Zoe just fit! He is so sweet and kind to her and it just seems like they get each other! I would love for something to happen with them. It's obvious that Lemon and Levon are supposed to be kind of meant for each other as the plot line continues. And I'm sorry to all you Wade fans because he is good looking, but he is just so rude and immature. I wouldn't date him that's for sure.
