Ringer Review: With a Mother Like That...

at . Comments

"Whores Don't Make That Much" finally gave viewers some of the answers they've been craving and at least one they never wanted to hear. Let's run it down, shall we?

With a Mother like that… who needs enemies? Damn. Catherine set that up? She had her own daughter file false rape charges and put her through that sham of a trial all for a few million dollars?!? The woman's a sociopath. No wonder Juliet's so messed up.

But who beat Tessa almost to death. Was it Mr. Carpenter? Did Catherine hire someone to do it or did Tessa open her big mouth to some third party who took full advantage of the information?

I guess we may not find out until Tessa wakes from her coma. If she wakes up at all.

Father of the year? When Bridget told Andrew he was an excellent father, I had to laugh. I like Andrew but his daughter's been involved with drugs, gotten a DUI, been kicked out of private school, alleged that her teacher raped her and (albeit unknowing to Andrew and Bridget) extorted Daddy for millions. He's not exactly winning Father of the Year, sorry.

Wanting Bridget dead. We finally found out that Sean was Siobhan's son. Bridget took Sean out with his estranged father against Siobhan's expressed wishes and in a horrible twist of fate the boy was killed in a car accident.

The vehicle seemed to come out of no where and the accident was filmed so realistically that it made me jump.

Being a mom, I could almost understand being angry enough to want Bridget dead. Unfortunately, Siobhan's anger has lead to her miserable and complicated existence and Bridget's guilt drove her to her drug addiction. Everyone loses.

Malcolm's a rock. Malcolm definitely stepped up his game. He was Bridget's rock and protector. He's installing tracking apps on her phone and stopping her from throwing things through windows.

And was Bridget really going to throw that brick through Dylan's window with his young daughter there? That's just wrong. I expected more of Bridget than to let her anger possibly injure and certainly scare a small child.

Bridget's newfound forgiveness had her thinking about her life... or at least her new one. She wanted to continue to live it but as Bridget, not Siobhan. How exactly will she explain to Andrew that his real wife committed suicide and she just thought she'd step in to save him the heartache?

Somehow I don't think he'll take that very well and I can't even imagine what it will do to Juliet.

Then there's the small issue about Siobhan still being alive. The devil is in the details and there are certainly plenty of devils in Ringer.

So, were you surprised that Catherine's the mastermind behind the rape scam? Did you think Siobhan's anger towards Bridget was valid and do you think Bridget will find any forgiveness when Andrew find out who she really is?  We've got one more week to figure it out.

Hi, Adrienne! Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by here today to share with us raeders more about 'Tis the Season to be Sinful!I, too, find myself being slightly more optimistic and joyful during the Christmas season (even though I tend to be in general). There's just something about Christmas -- parties with family and friends, giving, putting up decorations for a short period of time, excuses for eating lots of horribly wrong for you food *g* -- that makes a month out of the year more joyful and humbling. I have to admit, however, that sometimes some relatives and shopping malls do test my holiday cheer! LOL! Thanks again, Adrienne! I'm wishing you and your family a fantastic Thanksgiving!~ Tanya

Nope wasn't surprised. The moment Juliet confronted Carpenter with Tessa's condition I knew it wasn't him and that let only to one conclusion especially since the episode began with Catherine wanting Juliet in Florida far away from any control. My alarm bells were ringing loudly^^ I could understand the hatred towards Bridget though of course it's not really anybodys fault but tell this a mother who just lost her child. I don't think you can be reasonable in such a situation. Andrew... well as we now know he hasn't a clean slate himself either...but of course he will be first devastated and I for one would be creeped out too... imagining someone who's close to me isn't the one I think it is. That's a scary thought! But of course in the end Bridget and Andrew belong together. They are super cute after all!

I'm just watching this now to get to the end of series 1. I hope they have enough sense not to promulgate this silliness any further. So Tessa has $3m under her bed because, as she said herself, how stupid would it be to walk into a bank and deposit $3m in cash? Presumably Andrew had $10m transferred to Mr Teacher's bank account who could have transferred it to an account that Tessa had access to (it didn't have to be in her name). But no apparently he withdrew $3m in cash and gave it to her, I hope, in a big leather suitcase like in the movies. I know this a fantasy thriller but when you make logic slip ups like this because you can't think of anything better or just aren't paying attention then jumping and sharks spring to mind. Get it over with CW and tell is what happened and then go home and do something else.

Juliet and Catherine, like mother, like daughter. >.<
Anyway, I don't know why, but I'm getting HOOKED with this show since the Pilot.

Juliet's mom is so twisted! Now we know where Juliet got it from! And the promo for newxt week showed Catherine and Carpenter kissing... so uhm. I like Bridget better than Siobhan and i'm sad siobhan took it out on her. I wonder what happens to the key and Malcolm finding out about it.

someone else must have seen WILD THINGS! cause this juliet storyline is basically copying that.

I follow Misha Collins/Castiel/Dylan on Twitter. I was really disappointed that they killed off Castiel on Supernatural. He did a great Dylan act. I forgot how great and versatile an actor he is. Good for him. Now I will start to watch Ringer. Misha always has charisma even back to his Charmed days. He can be sometimes funny on Supernatural. Now I know that he can be serious, too.

After some reaaaally boring episodes before the break, Ringer has become very interesting. Yesterday the ratings adjusted up a bit... I know it's still hard, but I really hope for a 2nd season.

In all fairness Bridget only came into Andrew's like 5 months ago so what she has seen he has been a great father. The way he has been handling the Juliet situations have been pretty good. He has no clue that Juliet made up the rape story just to take his money. I was shocked that Catherine was involved, the money would not go to her..but I think she is even more manipulative than we know. I bet her plan is to end up taking all the 10 million some how either that or she and Mr. C are a couple and she had him beat up Tessa and the plan may still be to take Juliet's portion too.
I liked Dylan, we still dont know the whole story but we did get a good indication of the kind of guy he used to be
It really was not Bridget's fault and I can see why she turned to drugs
Malcolm seeing the key chain will make for a very interesting story line!
Juliet is so messed up it is insane!!!

I've never seen Misha Collins in anything before (except 24 and I don't remember much about the bad guys in season 1) but I was really surprised by him here. The last scene between he and Bridget actually managed to make me well up and I don't cry at tv/movies ever.

Ringer Season 1 Episode 14 Quotes

A few months ago my wife wasn't dead. It's funny how that can change your outlook on things.

And as far as my drinking, I haven't had a sip in days.
