@AXAX9...Damon, Stefan and Elena are 'A' characters....Caroline, Bonnie etc 'B' and so on. Don't act stupid tryin to prove a shallow point. We know, you follow the leader.

elena more blander than bella swan lol no bella is the poster girl of mary sue

Damon started out as multi-layered complex antihero with layers of good and evil. Ended up Edward. Elena never even got a character. The triangle feels forced and pushed into every plotline for no reason. Its just so...fake. Guess why people LOVE Caroline? BEcause she has a character, personality and actual human flaws. Because her romance plotline with Tyler does not suck and feels VERY natural. Because she is interesting and lively character. Because Caroline is the last thing of good quality writing in this show that is slowly becoming a soap-opera tv adaptation of twilight.

- Because the supposed lead heroine, Elena is even blander and more boring than Bella Swan.
- Because the execution of love triangle plot is very ham-handed and poorly written.
- Because neither of the trio(Elena, Damon, Stefan) is likeable. Stefan started out as a decent character with dark past, turned into a wussy crybaby with no dark past. Damon started out as multi-layered complex antihero with layers of good and evil. Ended up Edward. Elena never even got a character. The triangle feels forced and pushed into every plotline for no reason. Its just so...fake.

I honestly do not understand people. Can they not read? The description for The Vampire Diaries is basically saying its about to brothers who are in love with the same girl. This people is called a love triangle. Which involves 3 people. Usually the main charcters. Who the show focuses on. So your all upset that there is not enough Caroline scenes, or Bonnie scenes? Maybe because there not the main characters in this show.

It's called building something out of nothing. Let's face it - Matt is boring as hell. He's the sweet guy that hangs around like old wallpaper. Now they're trying to figure out a way to keep him around - give him purpose other than being just a nice guy. They toss out Jeremy whose character has been nicely developing and growing while Matt's stalled - how sad. I liked Matt- they had their chance to really make his character shine - until I realized they just weren't going anywhere with him. Let's move Matt out, get rid of Meredith (wasted $$), bring back Jeremy and his crossbow (with a learners permit)and develop a storyline that doesn't always end with S,E,D circling the relationship toilet bowl. Please!

I wonder if he is the mystic falls murderer then? Would certainly give him an interesting plotline for one ;)
Damon: She's strong and crafty and you'll die. Elena: At least I'll die trying.
