Gossip Girl Producers Preview "Salon of the Dead"

by at . Comments

We've already posted one promo and sneak peek. Now the producers of Gossip Girl, led by show-runner Josh Safran, are revealing more about next Monday's episode in their weekly video preview.

According to the snippets below ...

  • Dan and Blair struggle to maintain their own identities within the confines of a blossoming romance, and try to come into their own when an exclusive club event emerges as an ideal public debut.
  • Lola thinks she has a theory about who Gossip Girl really is - not too surprising considering the timing with which Serena sabotaged her - and sets out to expose her, with Nate helping her out.
  • Rufus and Lily are in real trouble.

I love what Lily did to Dufus. Now that is a true UES move, castrating her latest boy-toy. The rest of it is so déjà vu. Thank God only one more season to go.

Dan and blair shd be together pp. As much as it mt seem as tho blair is bng selfish i.e taking the love of serena's life. I strongly feel tht the chemistry is thr. Serena had a lot of chances to be w dan

Just make Chuck a prince and then Blair will be all about her princess passion again...lol. It's getting boring watching rufus and lily 2.0

I agree with you. I am a big fan of Serena and Dan, but you're right when you say that couples are not crucial for the series. 1 and 2 season had the highest rating, and then the couples who were current were not the main story. Series is not about couples. The series is about all the characters of UES, their friendship, their families and their love problems. While the story in a series held this, series has been viewed. Couples never in season 1 and 2 were not critical to the events in the series. They are only supplemented the story, making it complete. In 6 season series must return to its roots. Another, major quintet of characters must be in the spotlight, regardless of who is whom in a relationship. This is what the audience liked and what was best for the series.

Zade and Chair, I agree with you wholeheartedly along with Alice. Serena needs a better storyline as well. The producers have totally obliterated her character and it seems they don't care at all. This show has multiple individuals as main characters and its downfall is rooted in the fact that there isn't an equitable division of quality storylines for EACH character! Let's examine the facts. When Blair and Chuck finally emerged and settled as a couple, the ratings for the show although stronger than those at the moment, there was a decrease in the overall ratings!!!! In addition to this, the Dan and Blair situation has totally exacerbated the situation as ratings have stayed below the million mark consistently since the debut of the april 9th episode. This show does not do well with coupling. Its strength and appeal is apparent when the Serena and Blair friendship was the keystone and the interaction of the other core characters as a result of the dynamics of the friendship.

Alice I totally agree with you. But they really need to give Serena a better story line. She needs someone too.

@Zoran
Yeah, I think that too. Blair always wanted to shine more than Serena, since she is more beautiful and attractive.
Well, as I said, I won't justify either of them, but I agree that Blair has done something worse than Serena.
Ooohh yess, we will see some interesting scenes between the two!

Eleanor was great, she knows exactly what to do and when to do it. It's good that she felt the need to bring Chuck to prevent the wedding. But as usual, Blair ruin everything, as she did about going to Yale. I think Blair from the beginning wanted to become what was Serena. She always felt second-rate, although Serena did not treated her that way. As for Nate and Serena, it's not the same as Blair and Dan. Because when Serena was back in NYC she said to Nate: I did not came back for you! Simply she was sorry because she did that, but she was drunk if this could be a mitigating circumstance. Now Blair is a far worse. Blair knows that Serena is totally in love with Dan, and yet wants to be with him. I think at the end of the season will be a good showdown between two of them.

@Zoran
Yeah, this was quite selfish of Blair. Well, maybe it can be compared with the fact that Serena had sex with Nate while he was with Blair, but I won't justify either of them, just because I think that those things shouldn't happen between best friends. But this is Gossip Girl, where everything is legitimate, so...
Well, as far as Serena being supportive, who hasn't been? I mean, everybody in the show see that Chuck and Blair should be together. From Serena to Eleanor (she actually surprised me when she looked for Chuck on the wedding day).
