@steve marsi, I agree with you about blair, & it's because of chuck , he made her like this. she know chuck is bad impact for her.
    chuck = blair nightmare

What if Jack is Chuck's dad and Evelyn is his mother?
What if Diana had a secret child with Jack?
What if Diana's child donated the blood to Chuck because Jack couldn't because his blood is diseased due to being a raging man whore.
    =Chuck has a half brother.
Perhaps that half brother will turn out to be Devlin.
Perhaps Devlin would be a new love interest for Serena so she could regain an ounce of human dignity.

While I find Dair beyond boring, I actually really liked the van der Woodsen storyline. Lily has some serious balls and I loved Serena in this episode. I keep waiting for the girl to catch a break. And I loved Nate trying to dig up dirt on Diana - it was fun to see Nate actually doing something!

You know what, I concede that the IP was horrible. But you know what was worse - Blair losing her baby. I love how this was mentioned when Blair and Dan were having their wonderful Hallmark card moment about Blair losing her way. Oh, that's right, it wasn't mentioned at all. But if they had, I'm sure they would have blamed Chuck for that too - I mean he was also in the accident. Remember, this is the horrible monster that Blair wanted to help her raise her child with.

The only thing good about this episode was DAIR. Every week they're showing us exactly why they work. I'm still surprised a perfect couple like Dair came off of GOSSIP GIRL. I still can't believe people are saying Blair needs to get over Chuck selling her for a hotel. REALLY? She NEVER discussed what happened or her feelings about it to anyone, how could she be over it? Thats why her and Chuck will NOT work until they take the time to discuss their problems and what they did to each other. How can the person with the name "disappointment" say Chuck selling Blair for a hotel wasn't all his fault? what???? oh and, Blair even said she would sacrifice her happiness to be with Chuck (season 4 ep. 22) .... wow thats saying a lot.

    @TFanatic

I agree so much. The new Serena (how serena should've originally been in the first place) is giving me so much life and entertainment right now. She's the interesting character again...like she was in Season 1 before Blair's character started to overshadow her.

The whiny Chair fans need to shit the f*ck up for once and for all.
This is coming from a CHAIR FAN. I want them to end up together but im still enjoying the ride as it continues. I don't try to hate on every little thing just because the writers aren't giving us what we want....~yet.

Just quit it. Ya'll cant stop watching it no matter how much you say 'im done' week after week. Go change your diapers.

WOW!!!! I am actually in awe of Serena and the van der Woodsen clan. Their story is just getting juicer by the minute. I am realizing more and more that Serena is morphing into the Queen S that we got a snippet of in season 1. I hate to say it but I really like her vicious nature. As she loses everything around her she transforms into a beast. It was almost the same dynamic in season 1 when she lost Dan as her boyfriend and he started dating another girl. In a matter of time, she regained her status as Queen S usurping the title from Blair but she soon tempered down and returned her pacific ways. However something in my gut is telling me that the writers are going to resurrect Queen S but this time that alter-ego is going to be around for a longer time. They are just continuously decimating the world that she knew. At the rate Serena is going, she will become worst then Blair in her former glory days; a severely damaged and broken character.

  9. GG 4.0 is friends with Hitler

Perhaps before GG 4.0 dials up his/her direct line to Hitler she could take a class in basic grammar and punctuation. I assume he/she has given up on passing "Common Human Decency 101".

This was def. a vintage Gossip Girl episode. Apart from Dair, EVERYTHING pretty much felt like the earlier season. Esp. next week...it looks like back to season 1 all over again. I love it.

  11. Catherine

GG 4.0 you are WAY OUT OF LINE! Dont you realize how serious the holocaust was and it's absoutely no joking matter espeially when it comes to what happens in the concentration camps. I cannot believe you would say these horrible things. Please stop because your jokes are not funny at all!

This review is a joke. I get that you like the Humphreys, but spare me about how great this episode was. This was just painful to watch. Blair used to be awesome, and now she is a pathetic, selfish mess. And that isn't because of the IP and her relationship with Louis. She's trying to blame others when it comes down to her and it's her choice to be Blair or Clair. This episode was just awful, period. I don't know how anyone can even argue that.

  13. chair

this show is just so inconsistent its stupid... i mean especially in a tv show when a character says what blair said to chuck back in december and january (i want to spend the rest of my life with you, i love you more and more every day if thats even possible), that should be it; especially this end to the series!!! how can anyone ever trust blair again?! there is no time. i honestly watch her and the only thing i can think of is how big of a joke she is! of course she has lost her way... she does nothing that the old blair did and dan: all i have to say is be careful what u wish for bc the old waldorf happens to be "the thing you hate most about the UES" (or will the writers make up that he loved that blair too? i wouldn't be surprised considering the road they have been taking with the last few episodes)

  14. laura

Agreed. I'm amazed at how the Dan and Blair relationship is progressing. Blair is finally starting to acknowledge how deeply scarring the hotel-trading incident was - shit like that doesn't just go away because you've forgiven the people that orchestrated it. Dan is a sweetheart - I hope they go a long way together.

  15. Lucy

I'm sorry @Kim, but as much as I have no interest whatsoever in Dair...you have to admit that moving on from being traded for a hotel is probably not that easy. And about the video, Dan clearly had her best interests at heart. He didnt want her to marry someone she didnt love.

Well I thought Lily was great tonight she kicked butt! evil little thing....
Have to say I enjoyed watching Serena as well...
Dan and Blair sooo tired of them....
Chuck and Nate enjoyed them as well..

and Thank Goodness for Chair next week!

  17. disappointment

it is really starting to make me angry when they blame blairs problems on chuck... first of all the magazine internship where apparently blair was her "normal blair" was after the hotel incident. i get what happened was terrible but i agree with everyone else and lets MOVE ON ALREADY!!! i no its terrible for me to say and i get what chuck did was terrible but in some ways it wasn't all his fault and it makes me so mad that it keeps coming back to haunt him! blair has forgiven him for the incident multiple times and dan needs to stop blaming that on the person blair is and stop trying to change her. those humphreys are so judgmental

  18. candb

Blair better get back with Chuck once she starts scheming for him PLEEEEEEEASE I can barely take it anymore!

@GG4.0 That just disgusting. This is a TV show !

  21. Sh

In my opinion jack being the dad makes since and I also think that jack and Diana killed Bart in the accident or made him crash to get rid of him so that jack could be more in chucks life

  22. Kim

I don't get how Blair is having another identity crisis when the last time she had one Dan helped got her through it. Seriously I think the writers are reusing this same plot over and over for Blair just so they can keep Dair progressing. I know what Chuck did to her was awful. Even as a faithful Chair fan, I know nothing excuses his action but I don't like how the writers keep using what he did to further carry this storyline for Blair. Yeah we get it, he sold her to a hotel, well a lot has happened in between, LET'S MOVE ON!! I mean was the one that leaked the video of Blair and Chuck at the wedding, making her look like an unfaithful fiancé in front of everyone! She forgave him like that! WTF???
And I really hope Jack is not his father because then Blair slept with both the father and son which sounds so much worse than uncle and nephew. And if he was the father, what are his reasons to hating Chuck? And always getting back at him. If Chuck is his son, he wouldn't have slept with

  23. Still Love Chuck
    Rank: Leading Character

Jack is not Chuck's Dad. Jack is protecting Bart who has been in hiding to protect his family. Elizabeth/Evelyn is Chuck's Mom. Diana knows about Bart being alive so Jack is paying her off to keep her quiet. She knows where Bart is. Problem wth Dair has always been that Blair is still confused & has no clue to who she is. She's no better off now with Dan than she was with Louis. Also felt like Dair interactions were contrived; why would Blair interfere with Dan's moment? Makes no sense. Blair acted like a silly, little girl and I was embarrassed for her.

You are right the Humphreys do what they do best Judge!

There does seem to be light at the end of the tunnel. I hope that next week's promo signals the beginning of the end of Dair, which has been as boring as watching paint dry, and the reboot of Chair, which made this show successful enough to ensure a fifth season so that Dair could "happen."

It happened. Now, end it... while you still have viewers. Thanks.
