If Blake was difficult to play with Penn, it was supposed to leave the GG in season 4. Personally I think it did it would be very bad and stupid! It is possible that Blake bothers the popularity thanks to Serena. But anyone who has read some of her interview knows that Blake Lively has nothing to do with Serena, they are two completely different people. I think it's a great thing because it is so different person managed to portray the character Serena to audience. And finally for me as Serena and Dan (Blake and Penn) are most beautiful couple in love, sorry Blake!

Why do people leave comments which do not like on how acting Blake Lively? For me, the actress Blake Lively is one of the most talented young actresses in Hollywood, plus she definitely prettiest! I agree with those who claimed that in the films where she was played by all most of the roles were very demanding for the young actress from 19-22 years. Certainly, these roles have been difficult, demanding and important roles, but GG definitely was celebrated around the world Blake Lively! I watched all her movies, except the last of two, and for me the best was Elvis and Anabelle. I am a big fan of Blake Lively, but I have little to criticize it because of such a statement. I think Blake is angry at the audience, which is still associated her with Penn, through Serena and Dan. But the audience was not guilty because Blake and Penn in season 1 and 2 of GG well played roles Serena and Dan, and consequently soared Blake and Penn in the world! I'm not saying she can't act at all, I'm saying she stopped trying for GG.
And she is admitting it herself so what's the point of praising something she herself is ashamed about. She didn't add nothing new to her character for all this years, she seems bored with Serena and everybody can tell which shouldn't be the case. Ed and Penn are bored too but they are still giving some effort and they didn't just give up like she did. I saw her on sisterhood and I thought- why the hell she isn't trying like that on the show that gave her so much.

I don`t understand why some people are talking so negative about her acting.
Of course, there are some similarities in her roles, but she has played in some major movies and in little ones too.
You know "Elvis and Annabelle"? Ore "The private lives of Pippa Lee" and "The sisterhood of the traveling pants"?
And of course "Hick"? Really great work there from Blake.
I think she is a great actress and when she is on screen, there is just something about her that draws you in (and I am not talking about her beauty here, although that`s a bonus too ^^)
Maybe some of you should try to look at her work with different eyes, but of course everyone has a right to have it`s own opinion.

I get what she means but this was a poor way to say it. I think talking about your best quality of work is a no-no. When you've played maybe 2-3 good bit characters you don't really get to talk about your best quality of work. When she gets a leading role for a character that is not a variation of Serena then maybe she can talk about her "quality" of work. I think she has a bright future ahead of her but I think it's completely annoying for her to talk like she's some big star when in the grand scheme of things she's just starting out.

I thought she was good in The Town, The Private Lives of Pippa Lee and really good in her new movie Hick. I agree though, she's not very good in Gossip Girl. She was alright in the first couple of seasons...but now you can tell she has given up. I'm excited to see how she is in Savages...I've been reading good things.

I actually think it's the opposite, @Betty. Her best GG scenes were when she actually had to perform, when G returned. The tape, the struggle with her mother, etc. The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th seasons all took no work from her but I think this season she acted very realistically. I felt like she actually WAS Serena while acting this past season... it's evident in her body language.
Just my opinion, though.
