Gossip Girl Renewed for Final Season, Names New Showrunner
The beginning of the end is upon us, Gossip Girl fans.
Just days prior to the season five finale, The CW has announced - as expected - that the series will return as part of that network's 2012-2013 schedule... for a shortened final season.
It will be comprised of only 11 episodes.
Moreover, with Josh Safran now out, Executive Producer Sara Goodman has been elevated to show runner. She will helm the final run of episodes.
The CW will formalize its entire new schedule on Thursday, May 17 at the network's Upfront presentation in New York City. TV Fanatic will be there!

Please,don't stop yet. you misunderstood. Dan and Serena aren't perfect for each other... Serena and Nate belong to each other..They...They zing!!!! Dan and Vanessa are perfect for each other. They have a lot in common. As for Serena and Dan, nothing-in-common. please i want to watch another gossip girl. tell them season 7 is the last one. break up dan and serena and i'll be moving on and forget gossip girl. i'm not the only gossip girl in the world. xoxo gossip girl.

Please dont end Gossip Girl ... Keep pumping them out
Its by far the best series of its kind and i love the whole concept of the program and couldnt imagine TV without it
I am due to buy the whole seasons soon and would like it to continue
Ive never even heard of CW until Gossip Girl and its very unlikely i will remember them if this program stops

It is true that Safran guy is delusional. He tried experimenting and breaking the dynamics of the group with his creative fantasies but they didnt work! But hey it seemed like he would not listen despite the outcry of the fans and look where it got the show! I am glad season 6 is going back to its roots. it is what made the fans love gossip girl to begin with

That is true! Gossip Girl is big in Philippines and in China. In fact, Philippines made their own version of Gossip Girl called Lipgloss. It got canceled though as its not even near as the original GG. In China, they will launch their own Gossip Girl version this year.
L-O-FUCKING-L. I live in the Philippines but I was never aware of that show existing. Can't for Australia. PH sucks balls.
