Totally disagree with the comment that P.O.I. is not as good as some of the listed "Pay TV" shows mentioned. Let me tell you, The Sopranos was the best Drama on TV anywhere any era. He forgot to mention Six Feet Under. And Yes Dexter is wonderful. But bottom line, had this series "Shown Up On Pay TV" it would be even spoken about on a higher lever-If That were possible...

Great review that I totally agree with, and I have to say that the actors are amazing and the plots never predictable on Person of Interest. This isn't my normal type of show, really, but the acting and writing are just so superb I can't pass it up...every week it has me on the edge of my seat!
And Finch, dear, dear Finch...the actor who plays him is masterful. His every facial expression and movement are telling of his character. He's not even remotely good looking, but he's such a fascinating human being, I find myself falling in love with him, and not being at all surprised that he had a fiance who is adorable and kind. The reverse is true for Reese...the more I know about his past, the creepier and less attractive he gets. Loved the fight scenes, though. This show is really setting the standard for network TV drama.
Certainly not in the class with the best pay cable Drama shows like Game of Thrones, The Borgias, Boss, Boardwalk, Damages, Dexter.... As good as the best dramas on basic cable like Suits and Justified.... But it certainly blows every drama on the network channels away !!!!!
Never a bad episode ....yet. !

It is so interesting...gets my attention every week...was blown away, when the woman came out of the closet and shot the two guys without any pre-talk...I didnt think my girl friend would like the show, but she said it has heart and is exciting...she looks forward every week to the show

I have no idea where this finale could go.as the reviewer pointed out it can go virtually anywhere. I loved the episode
Why the hell POI can't put a foot wrong? I am tired of liking it so much. Now I can't wait for the finale. Life would be so much simpler if it sucked.

This is a great review about an even greater TV series. I sort of watch in awe of Michael Emerson, as he flips back and forth as Finch between years ago in the story, when he was normal and fit, and present day, where he is stilted and often in pain. The man is just that great of an actor: he's consistent all the way through.
The developing Carter/Fusco story is fun to watch, and now we have the Alicia Corwin thread now making its debut. I'm still curious about Carl Elias, and where he's gone and what part he has to play in all of this (or any of it).
It's all just so very very good. What an amazing show.

Totally, totally, totally thrilling!! I love this show and the quick turns it takes, like peeling back an onion....Finch's fiance was so humanizing, John's discovery so shocking, Peck's acceptance that he latched on to something (will he play another part next season in wanting to know more and selling it to the highest bidder?), the nervous-paranoid ex-NSI agent who IS "creepy" and bad news, Carter suspecting Fusco (but is wondering if he is good/bad or just dirty), the secretative (and corrupt) Washington team (with their thugs), not to mention Elias will no doubt get involved in wanting the Machine, too! Wow! How would you like to be in on those writers creative sessions?? Great reviewa.

Mike was watching Carrie each other from afar; what a nice couple. I'm going to expect Benjamin Linus guest starring on True Blood soon.

This show is the whole reason I watch TV!!
I'll admit at first I just thought Finch was just a brainiac and that Nathan was his only real friend and that was his "reason". But dear God, the man nearly made me cry tonight!! Sheesh, you people and your excellent acting!!
Plus the woman that was spying on Finch was CREE
I'm so excited about this show and cannot wait for next week's AND next season's adventures.
