My point is if all you have to say is negative things about the show why you keep watching it? Why you wasting your time? I enjoy the show very much and yes I see the flaws and what not but I am not going to bash the show and speak nothing but negative TRASH>>>

I have one word for JP. Denial! What she says about Elena doesn't translate late to most of the fans watching it.

So true. Its not about liking or hateing the show, its about simply pointing out important issues that plague the show that need to be noticed or realized.
Whoever JP is talking about, it cannot be Elena because if it is, then i must be watching the wrong television show.
I'm not hateing on the show, i'm just angry and bitter about what the writers have done to these characters, destorying them beyond repair in just 3 seasons and people are so indenial about it! Elena is not a heroine, Damon is a messed up vampire and Stefan is a brooding mess. The love triangle is lame and seriously messed up.

Why is it when people point out something that does not make sense or should be paid attention to, its automatically considered as hate for this show. If you don't care what kind of television you are watching then fine,but I prefer good quality tv shows so instead of calling other people's posts trash why not try to understand what they are complaining about. I don't post here and tell those people who LOVE everything about the show and Elena to stop posting about that, do I? Nope, all of us here have the right to express our views - positive or negative.

Great News: Freedom of speech has been established since, oh I dunno a century ago? If you see way too many negativity then that should prove something about the show. What is with the delusion that a comments page is supposed to be full of happy fans? LOL.

Elena a heroine? She never actually helps anyone, she just cries. All her "plans" turn to s**t. In the words of Damon, "you know what else was her call? everything bad EVER" I was hoping they would REALLY turn her into a badass vampire but now it looks like her superpower will be drowning people in her sea of tears.
They have so much material but ain't playing it at all.
THIS. They talk about it and its like the show we are seeing and the show they are talking about are two entirely different things.
I guess these writers just do NOT have talent to pull anything off. They keep talking about these great ideas and then they fall flat on their nose every season.

I like the story JP is putting out but I WANNA see it on screen. there is where her stories have loose ends.
I want Elena SOLO! Without this triangle mess, to develop! But it seems like JP can't pull it off! She will be a Vamp, but weak at first! Interested how will they portray it and will her Alaric practicing skills come as a + now!
They have so much material but ain't playing it at all. Hopefully Claire Holt stays as SR!

Season four sounds like it's going be worse than Season three. It's so sad that my favourite show is sinking so fast but some things you just ignore.

Julie Plec has said she can not see the show going on for years and years like other shows out there. So for me I like the idea of the reboot and I am sure we will get a couple more seasons and then they will wrap up the show. This for me is one of my favorite shows on tv and I am looking forward to October!

Wow if all of you who take the time to come here and read about the show and then in the comments say how much you hate the show, I feel sorry for all of you. Obviously you all ACTUALLY like the show or you would not be reading EVERY single article about the show and comment on it!
So here is a thought if you actually do not like the show, stop reading about it and making silly comments and leave it for what it is supposed to be people that ACTUALLY like the show and like to comment about it in a good and positive way. There are many shows that are talked about and posted about on here and you can sure as hell bet that I do not read or comment on shows that I do not watch or do not like!!!!!!!!!!!

I m trying to figure out what the point is now that she turns. I get that her transition is going to be big but what is the threat now. Elena is now dead and a vamp probably ending the ability for there to be another future doppelgänger.

Its amazing how this show couldn't stop bashing Twilight back in its 1st season (when it was good) now, sadly, Damon and stefan have become even more messed up then Jacob and Edward and Elena is worse then Bella. Elena doesnt even deserve the title of "heroine" yet the writers have this delusional idea that Elena is so strong and brave and "caring". Lol! Just...lol!

Like "caring" is such a flaw. Its ridiculous! And laughable! For someone so "smart" Elena's incredibly stupid. Saying that the writers fucked up is an understatement! Elena needs a miracle to make anyone (with a brain) like her. Then again, so does the rest of the cast except for Caroline.
Well according To plec Herself Elena has like, IQ of over 120 and her only flaw is that "she cares so much"
Yeh, sorry, writers are completely disconnected with how their "character" actually turned out.

Please, book Elena was the one who was fiercely loyal and protective of her friends, she was the one who always put herself in danger first, yes she might have used her friends a lot, but in the end she would die for them. Plus being a badass is not just about physical strength, its also about being smart, and Elena's horrible decision making abilities will continue to not serve her well.

About Elena's fierce loyalty and being protective...that is mostly only words but her actions prove otherwise. She always says that she will not let anything happen to those she loves but that's just words, there is no action behind it. All Elena does in the end is hug the victims and say that she is sorry and it is all her fault. Even with her supposed training this season..what was the point of that if it didn't come in handy at all this season - her scenes with Rebekah and Klaus prove that. So what, will she just magically become a badass just because she is a vampire now?

Seriously JP, what character are you talking about? The Elena that i know of hasnt shown any reaction to ANYTHING! She's a useless, expressionless, personality less, self-righteous mary-sue! Shes WORSE than Bella Swan! I honestly cant stop laughing right now. These writers really believe that Elena is developed, relatable and really likable. They even more delusional then i thought. Elena can't be "dark" because she has no personality and no faults to speak of! "a new beginning"- what, like how the season ended ripping off Twilight Breaking Dawn pt.1 ending! Elenas going to be like Bella once she became a vampire? Please! lol!
Miss Cardboard is universally hated and despises bella-clone. It would take a miracle and an actual good quality writers to make someone like her. THis show has neither
Damon: She's strong and crafty and you'll die. Elena: At least I'll die trying.

Yep.
Klaus not dead? CHECK.
Elena angsting about brothers being useless and pointless ? CHECK.
Damon and Steffie being unlikeable wimpy crybabies? CHECK.
Bonnie's "familY" comes in as plot devices? CHECK.
More pointless filler plot devices? CHECK.
This show ran out of steam. Something happened at the start of S2. And show never was the same afterward.

Julie Plec has said she can not see the show going on for years and years like other shows out there.
