Robert Patrick is set to take a bite out of True Blood.

The actor, who was also just promoted to series regular on ABC's Last Resort, has been cast as Jackson Herveaux, the father of Joe Manganiello's Alcide.

According to True-Blood.net, Patrick will appear on two episodes, debut August 5 and first be seen in a flashback to when Alcide and Debbie Pelt were teenagers.

If you recall, Alcide was introduced on True Blood Season 3 because his father owed a debt to Eric.

When viewers meet Jackson in present day, they'll see a werewolf who is down and out and who has pretty much given up on life.
