Glee Casts Brother for Puck, Love Interest for Rachel
Dean Geyer and Jacob Artist have been cast on Glee Season 4.
Geyer, best known for his work on the Australian series Neighbours and a former contestant on Australian Idol, will debut on the September 13 premiere as a NYADA student named Brody Weston. Look for him to take an immediate interest in Rachel.
Artist, meanwhile, appeared on the television movie Blue Lagoon: the Awakening. He will come on board as Jake Puckerman, Puck's younger brother and a potential new member of New Directions.
But a Fox press release warns that his attitude may derail his audition.
The fourth season of Glee will mark a move for the show to Thursday nights. It will also kick off with a three-month time jump and feature a tribute to Britney Spears, as teased on our exclusive interviews with the cast.

I for one would like to watch that kind of handsome on my screen. He had a screen chemistry test with Rachel prior to signing. I hope he sings and acts well for a junior mentor in NYADA. Especeially, if Kurt and Jesse weren't chosen. As for the Britany Spears epi, not a fan of Britany at all but this way Britany S Pierce will get some screen time. Hope it is as hilarious as they say.

Is dean too good for glee? Or glee too good for dean?
The dude can sing alright, his acting left something to be desired when in neighbours. And no idea on how well his fake accent will sound.

Puck had only a sister in season 1. This half brother I would guess is an offspring from a union with his absent dad. His dad was always non productive and caustic causing Puck to being insecure about himself. Why not another kid being treated badly by his dad? But, yes, Glee takes a lot of liberties changing outcomes of backstories to suit a present storyline. Hopefully, season 4 will be better story telling and funnier.

I have a hard time getting behind these stories when the writers decide to just rewrite the past halfway through. I just can't get past the part about it clearly being stated that Puck had a sister not a brother, and suddenly poof! Guess what we changed our minds he does have a brother.

He sure is handsome, hope he sings and dances well. To be worthy of NYADA. I'm not looking forward to Britany Spears again either. I didn't like the first one. She is one of my least favorites opo stars. This will be an enormous drag. I know nothing of the other young guy. It sure will be odd without the original badass.

Ugh! I am not looking forward to this Britney Spears tribute and on that note to any tributes. They are starting the season off badly already. Thank gawd for DVR and the mute button. Dean Geyer and Dianna Agron are the only reasons I'm still watching.

That's so awesome though! He hasn't done much since Neighbours at all. Nothing publicly at least. Go Aussie GO!
