I love Michael Shanks and won't watch the show without him in it. But the coma needs to be over, and the show has to have more to it than centering around that theme.

I'm with all the people who want Charlie to wake up. Honestly the characters are all awesome but if they drag this out to the point it becomes obvious Charlie won't wake up/die until the finale (which could be a decade from now) I'm not going to stick around - already starting to feel patronized a bit.
Also, Charlie is overly calm. He's probably my least favorite character and seems like he almost doesn't care about waking up most of the time. Even with the "psychic" he gave up WAY to easily. Don't want to rant but on the off chance that anybody from the actual show ever peruses the Internet for feedback I thought I'd throw in my 2 cents. I'm hooked - but getting weary of the Charlie plot going nowhere.
Agree with everyone else that Heartless was the best yet.

I love this show. Its just getting better and better each episode and the latest one, heartsick, is the best so far. So many emotions. Erica Durance's was great! I hope Charlie will wake up next episode. Pls don't kill him. I really think this show has potential to be great. I just wish they remove the blue light or minimize it at least as it is distracting. I love Michael Shanks. I want to see more of Charlie's and Alex's little snippets of their life before the accident. I like the way they're able to incorporate that in the show. More please!

This is the only show I watch all week, but if they kill off Charlie, I'm done.

I won't watch it if Charlie dies... They should have him cone alive but he can still see and talk to the people who are in between but only in the hospital.....
I was hoping Charlie's eyes would open, because with him dead I really do not know how the show will continue, I guess he will roam the halls of the hopsital forever trying to help people.

Darn tv froze right after Alex was told "it's time". What happened? Did they disconnect the machine? Did Charlie take in a big breath or open his eyes? Or did they leave all viewers in limbo?
I love this show and Alex is a great actress, she showed it tonight.

I hope Charlie is still alive and not stuck in the in-between for the remainder of seasons, helping the people who pass by. I cried like a baby during the ending scene :(

I love this show too, but I think they should do it as a straight hospital show.. have Charlie wake up and then go from there. I am so surprised at how strong this show is and I don't think it needs the twist of "coma husband".
My favourite Canadian show since the 70s!

I sooo wanted his eyes to open too but I think the way they ended was perfect because it will makes want to waot.for it come back. The whole show is built around him being in a coma so if his eyes open then there is no reason to keep the show going. The suspense keeps us hooked. Eric Durance is a great actress. I think they she wasntas developed in her character yet b/c its a new show. That happened in Smallville whenn she joned the show. It took her a few epsiodes to show more.emotion amd she was a great Lois Lane:) This show is the best medical drama to date. Itsalso very accurate medically ive been told so yay:)

I didn't understand why they let his EX-wife choose for him. The fact that he divorced her should mean he doesn't want her taking decisions on his behalf. And doesn't he have other family than these two who can decide? It was just frustrating to watch her making decisions on his behalf after years not being in his life.

I love this show. I know the whole premise is this supernatural thing, but Charlie has got to wake up even if it's only briefly. Or he has to make some type of contact with Alex or someone so that they know he is still in there. Joel would probably be best because I think even Dawn would listen to him fighting for Charlie. I don't believe fans here in the US are going to keep sticking around if there is no hope of him waking soon. I know Dawn says she loves Charlie, but she doesn't. She is jealous of his and Alex's relationship and doesn't want to believe Alex could have brought out a new side to him which would mean that she (Alex) knows him better. I'm not saying she's being vindictive, but she refuses to see any view, other than her own selfish one. I really like all of the characters and I, too, believe that Joel is a good guy.

I expect Charlie eyes to open in the end scene. I never hated Dawn because she is the only realistic doctor. A lot of doctors would have pull the plug if there was nothing else to do. I loved Dawn and Alex scenes tonight and think that if they had decided to work together since the beginning then Charlie would be alive right now. We seen both sides of Joel tonight but I still see him as a good guy.
