DeAnn Rank: Recurring Character

AA, you totally read my mind and posted pretty much exactly what I was going to say! So other than mentioning that I, too, love me some Eyal (that man has enough charisma to charm every female agent in the CIA AND Mossad! He's just that yummy) and that I am worried about Arthur and Joan's relationship (I doubt she's ever going to want to leave the DPD and move to China), I will just say that I think that Annie's obsession with Simon, though he, too, is screamin' hot, is not going to end well. I also hope that Auggie and Annie will develop a relationship, because they are so darned adorable together as friends, they'd be truly great as lovers. Plus, it gives me an opportunity to drool over Chris Gorhamn whenever he's in a 'morning after' scene and without a shirt...sigh. He's just so gorgeous.

This felt like some sort of a bridge episode to me, but I couldn't tell you a bridge from what to what beyond before to next, whatever that turns out to be. The eye of the storm perhaps? I thought the writing was weaker in the episode. The actors got all they could out of it, but it just didn't have the pace and intensity of the previous three episodes this season. One example, unarmed Annie chasing an armed assailant whose already proven he's willing to shoot at people. Doesn't make a lot of sense. What was she going to do if she got close enough, distract him by getting shot while Eyal caught up? Not the best plan.
The second time Eyal was chasing a lady but she wasn't brandishing a gun. Turns out she had a knife which made it a bit dicy till Annie turned up and knocked her out. But with Eyal's dossier, he should have been able to handle her easily. Oh well, it's TV.
I get the feeling things will pick up next episode, and from about 7 on the summer season will ramp up big time

This may just be me but does anyone else wonder where Ben is? He's been MIA for an awfully long time.

Great episode although I don't see what's next. Simone, Eyal, who is going to be? I don't want to disappoint anybody but I've seen a video interview with Annie (Piper Perabo) and she's kind of telling what will happen in the future. Her relationship with Auggie is going to change. Can't post here the link but click my profile and there it is my blog about Covert Affairs. There can watch it.

LOVE me some Eyal! He and Annie have GREAT chemistry together - it's almost enough to make me want to change my shipper card from Annie/Auggie to Annie / Eyal! It would be awesome to see them pursue a relationship from around and across the world, etc.

This episode was a breath of fresh air. The opening scene between Arthur and Auggie in the jail cell was fabulous. A real father/son moment there. I half expected Arthur to say "I'm not mad...I'm disappointed." We don't really know too much about Auggie and Arthur together. The actors have great chemistry. It's nice to see some cracks in Auggie's armor.
Annie and Eyal are magical together. They both exposed some vulnerabilities this week, and we got to see the less glamorous side of being a spy. Piper Perapo is growing by leaps and bounds as an actress is it's fun to watch her evolve. The scene in the hotel room where she slides down the wall under the window after learning her own agency is investigating her--- brava.
Christopher Gorham knocks it out of the park, as usual. I didn't much care for the therapist. She seemed young and inexperienced. I worry Auggie will dance circles around her while she's still checking her Psych 101 PTSD check-list. Not enough scenes

I like the concept of this show but I feel it's missing something I can't quite put my finger on.
Why is it there's nothing about, if there is one, an investigation into Jai's death? Seems they would be working to find out who did that.
Auggie starting therapy, hmmmmmmmm
Annie calling Simon, well, who couldn't see that happening?

Good episode, although I was having a little Simon withdrawal. BUT that didn't last long with Eyal back! Love him & it's just something about him I like. I'm wondering what was that look after he called to Annie at the end(at the Airport) & she smiled, but then he said 'be careful' and her demeanor changed, like she was disappointed??
Anyways, Annie is one lucky gal to be caught up with all these handsome, charming guys. Now all we need is Ben back to add to the mix ;)
Also, not sure what's Joan deal with Annie. Maybe I missed something?
