New Girl

Nick's past is coming back to haunt him this Halloween on New Girl.

Maria Thayer has been cast as Amelia, a girl who broke his heart in college, and who Nick is still smitten with. Based on what we know of Nick, there's no conceivable way this ends well, but it should be hilarious.

Later this fall, she comes back to pay our favorite, maligned bartender a visit, and brings a terrrible (and rather amusing) flaw with her, according to E! Online, which first reported Thayer's casting.

Any guesses on what that might consist of?

The hit comedy premieres Tuesday, September 25 on Fox.
