i cant wait for the season to start and all you haters out there just dont have a imagination do they need to spell everything out for you first off bonnie never even had a chance to see caroline in transition because she turned all alone no one knew til after and with her mom she hadnt tapped in to her dark side so she probably didnt even know that this loophole could happen and we all know already that it isnt going to work
these town ppl are so stupid if it wasnt for stephan, damon, caroline, and bonnie the town would have been eaten already lol

also, I don't see how the blonde in the car next to Caroline could be Rebekah. Yeah, sure she's weak and female, the perfect victim in this show, but she's an original!
Um are you forgetting that this show keeps throwing senseless loopholes around, it's Rebekah.

im not saying that you are wrong abpout bonnie not trying to stop the transition, but think about it back then bonnie wouldnt do it because she knew that it would upset the spirits, now that she doesnt care she is going to use dark magic to fix it

I'm getting sick of this show, the only charactrers I like right now are Damon and Caroline, and I watch the show thinking that maybe someday they will finally make it better like for ex. give Elena an actual character or Stefan some guts.

I just read the last three pages. This show really has a problem: dozens of disappointed fans :-(

And the council members/vampire hunters didn't make a move until the very day Elena turned because...? There has been a flood of vampires in town for over a year and you'd think the town would be running out of sexy sorority girls by now. This is two seasons too late.
also, I don't see how the blonde in the car next to Caroline could be Rebekah. Yeah, sure she's weak and female, the perfect victim in this show, but she's an original! You wouldn't catch Klaus, Mikael or Elijah strapped down and tortured. She's the strongest and oldest woman in TVD universe, and if this show had any logic, and if that woman is her, then all the vamp hunters would be dead before they could touch her. They certainly would have been had they approached any of the guys.

hey... so bonnie willing to bind the rules of magic for Elena but not for her own mother.. that is ... truly a mindblowing thought. Besides, as I recently read on some fanfic. No one tried to ever bend any rules for Caroline ( leave the sacrifice aspect aside, just the loophole part is what matters here), as already mentioned no one bothered to do that for Abby (and given the ramifications... maybe that would have been more appropriate at the time then now).
Honestly, it´s not that I hate Elena, it´s frankly just the fact that her character is so ... all over the place. In one episode she asks Alaric to teach her how to fight, and then she forgets all about that again. The love triangle is even worse than the entire Dawson´s Creek original version of that. It´s going nowhere, and when it does it always shifts back. I mostly watch the show now because of caroline and Klaus. and now, I don´t think they´ll have sex while he´s tyler. Apart from them the only thing from that promo

Anyone else upset by the lack of damon in that promo? However the .2 seconds we got of him has damon actung distant which is what i have wanted since the finale.

Well the only reason the first ep is so predictable is because JP's been dropping hints left and right since s3's ended and any person with a brain can connect the dots. Add to that, the promo fills in all the blank spots, but the rest of the season is still pretty much a dark cloud to me, besides the obvious main triangle and Klaus becoming part of the MF gang
On another note, I'm reserving all commentary on s4 till s4 actually starts. The Elena transformation wasn't handled well and half of season 3 wasn't handled well, but I still reason to believe that TVD could be good and two and a half season to vouch for that. Maybe I'm just a blind optimist.
frankly the show could not get ANY MORE predictable, its already clear what happens in first ep:
- Elena whines for few seconds about this "totally" horrible situation she is in, then the rest of that time is spent on damon and steffie arguing and show making this whole situation all about them.
- Bonnie tries to un-turn Elena, fails, blah blah no one cares.
- The new random redshirt hunters rush the gilbert house, elena ends up chewing on leader and then continues to be a boring mary sue for the rest of the season.

Why they make the same mistakes aver and over again?!?!?!
Bonni wants to sacrifice herself for Elena- again.
Elena complaining about her situation- again.
Stefan letting Elena die becouse she sayes so- again.
Damon the only on thinking straight- again.

I honestly don't get what Elena has to be so sad about...its not like she had any big plans for her future to cry about now...Yes, she did mention she wanted back in s2, but that was so basic and vague..nothing about that has been even mentioned ever since........in s3 she already turned 18, that is the time when you are supposed to start making decisions about your future, and since she was left as head of her household since Jenna died, she should have grown up even faster...but what did we see in s3 regarding that? Nothing. To all thise claiming people here are being too negative, answer me this - What college does Elena want to go to? What profession is she interested in? How did she manage to support herself and Jeremy last season? Why didn't get a job? What are her interests in life? @Alicia Kudos for defending your opinion in this forum of all places, but.. seriously? You actually like what they've done to the show? You approve of the misery that is Bonnie, and you completely agreed in 3x18 onwards, when the MF gang decided that they had the right to wipe out 3/4 of all vamps, never even addressing the issues with that?(then again, they do have Elena on their side, so I suppose that justifies everything. Of course, silly me) Season 3 was like a big, horrible drain. We had so many great characters and couples, *coughcough Forwood, Elijah, Klaus*, the season 3 happened, and Julie Plec did her best to rewrite, simplify, pussify or otherwise destroy them. Even the quality of fanfics has gone down since season 3 happened.

Guys let's be honest here, the only good thing about this show now is the music. This is why I tune in every week now, to hear these awesome tracks.
