Eric Dane to Board TNT's The Last Ship
Eric Dane is moving from the hospital to the high seas.
The beloved ex-Grey's Anatomy star, who killed off that ABC series to open Season 9, has secured a new starring role: He will anchor TNT's The Last Ship, an upcoming drama from producer Michael Bay.
Based on a William Brinkley novel, The Last Ship will follow the crew of a naval destroyer that survives worldwide catastrophe. We told you it was a Michael Bay production, didn't we?
Dane will portray Captain Tom Chandler, a veteran member of the Navy in charge of the survivors.
The Last Ship will premiere some time in 2013 and also feature Michaela McManus, Charles Parnell, Travis Van Winkle, Christina Elmore and Sam Spruell.

I am so glad. Was worried that we wouldn't see him again for awhile. Hope that he gets lots and lots of other roles!

Isn't this what we already have in "Last Resort" with Andre Braugher? Come on. I like Eric Dane and want him back onscreen, but give us something different Michael Bay. It will be like watching the same thing. One of them is going to suffer. Same thing happened with Ringer and The Lying Game. Both were so similar; Ringer got dropped.
