For me this was not my favorite episode but it had some good moments.
I liked the end when Wade baked black and white cookies for Zoe, they may have tasted terrible it was a cute gesture.
Zoe is not the casual relationship type and they may be keeping it a secret but it pretty much is a relationship as they are not seeing or sleeping with anyone but eachother and now she wants romance. Zoe just go public with Wade already!!!!
I like Lemon and Annabeth going into buisness together but they have to come up with a good name.
I also liked the end when Brick told Zoe she did a good job! We need more of that.
I think Zoe handled the crush well and I know highschool football is huge but the town pushing Zoe to string him along until after the game was just wrong.
Personally I do not like Rose and Lavon.
Count me among those who want George and Lemon together - after George grows up (and grovels). Right now, I prefer to see Lemon on her own, but eventually, I hope they'll find their way back to each other. There's someone out there perfect for Lavon, but it's not Lemon or Ruby, IMO.
The only thing I liked about the flash mob was that there were so many recognizable characters in it. I love how this show really does feel like a small town, with the recurring characters in the background all the time. (Although, that makes Shelley and Addy's absence even more obvious.) Alas, it was still dated/overdone and cringe-worthy, especially considering the whole town was helping a 15-year-old boy woo, or rather make inappropriate and unwanted sexual advances towards, a grown woman. Still not getting over that.
This was a great episode. Sweet, funny, and quirky. Yes parts of it were OTT, but that is what I've come to expect and love about HoD. I love that they had the townspeople in the flash mob. It just added to the quirkiness.
Every week I think I can't love Wade and Zoe and more and then the writers keep surprising me. I love the way their relationship is progressing for now. They are stumbling into a relationship. Agreed that at some point soon Zoe is going to have to do some giving as well. Wade is uncertain but clearly willing to to try with just a little urging from her.
Ruby can still go but she can leave Grandpa behind. Loved his scenes with Lavon.
I'm another one who still would like George and Lemon to get back together. I think they have great chemistry and they know each other so well. Loved that she was finishing his sentences. And as always AB & Lemon were terrific.
Wade just is not used to being in a relationship. So he is unsure about how to act. Also Zoe wont admit that they are in a relationship & he is still guarded, doesn't want to get hurt. These two are lovable & frustrating at the same time.
I seem to be in the minority here but I still want George & Lemon to get back together.
I might be alone here, but I LOVED the flash mob. At first I thought it was pretty ridiculous, but then I just couldn't stop laughing because it was so ridiculous it was FUNNY. Really enjoyed that scene :)
Maria- at the end, Zoe answers to Wade "get naked?" And he say "I thought you would never ask"
Love me some Zade!!! They are my favorite.
What was the last line Zoe said to Wade, when he responded, "I thought you would never ask"? (On the episode, Baby, Don't Get Hooked on Me"). I've been rewinding and rewinding, and can not make out the word(s). It's frustrating me!!
If anyone knows, let me know. thanks
I have very mixed feelings about this ep. Positives were definitely the Lemon & Annabeth storyline (my not-so-secret favorite duo) and Wade baking. Negatives included the Lavon/Ruby storyline (yawn), the flash mob (those are getting old), and most of all Zoe's main storyline. I don't know what was worse: the pedophile nature of it or the fact that the whole town encouraged it and everyone, including the kid, got upset at Zoe for not putting up with it.
I think they were pushing the Wade isn't romantic angle too hard. His actions have always spoken louder than words, even last season. And if Zoe wants romance so badly, why is she so they only have a casual, no-strings-attached fling? Trying to have her cake (or cookies) and eat it too. The whole thing just felt very OOC/inconsistent, just to push the nonsense storyline of the week.
