@Mimi880. Agree completely about Duke. His character is great. Please, please, please don't criticise Duke's hair. The minute you do, they'll cut it off. I love his hair, I love that it is long. I don't know why people just hate long hair on men. They already cut off Nolan's hair on revenge because of all the people complaining about it. And yes, I know I just wrote a post on a man's hair but I have to beg on behalf of Duke's hair. Oh... and the episode was great. Both the reveal that the Colorado kid was Sarah's son and that Tommy is the bolt gun killer. I agree with @General Rapunzel, I think Tommy is a shape-shifter. Knowing this show, they still might find a way to surprise us again.

Season 3 has been really strong. Each week, a little piece of the puzzle gets answered. The best part, however, is that it all seems to be leading towards the arrival of the "hunter" meteor shower.
I don't want to disparage previous seasons, since they too were good. But seasons 1 and 2 seemed more like a collection of mystery-of-the-week type episodes. This year, we have a real story arch.
This is the BEST season so far.

I think the show is getting more interesting with every episode. Duke's character is especially well-written and fleshed out by Eric Balfour: the classic bad boy with the heart of gold. He is getting all the funny lines this season. I just with he could wash his hair once in awhile!

I've been a little disappointed with this season so far - too much angst/in-fighting and far too many new characters for my preference. The reveals and cliffhanger in this ep really brought me back to it, and I'm optimistic now.
I find the speculation here about Nathan's possible connections to the Colorado Kid interesting. I've thought all along there's a resemblance.

Going back to the first episode where Tommy was introduced, we never saw what really happened in that hotel room. What if the Bolt Gun Killers trouble is shape shifting? What if the real Tommy was the body that was buried in the shallow grave? Good way to infiltrate the Haven PD, keep tabs on Audrey's search for the Colorado Kid and monitor Nathan's search for the killer.

Wow! Honestly did not see Tommy as the Bolt gun killer, interesting. Jordan and Dwight: enjoyed their paring. Duke & Audrey: was a little worried she wasn't going to pull away BUT glad she did, just proves to me that she really loves Duke as a friend.
Audrey/Sara: is the Colorado kids mother, did anyone notice that the picture she looked at of the CK looked like Nathan? I liked when Audrey/Duke arrived after Nathan got shot, so much emotion from both of them. Can't wait till next week. Thoughts: Could Nathan be a reoccurring person like Audrey. How could you explain Nathan being the CK father otherwise. LOVE this show!

Nice review!
I cannot wait for next week's episode. Personally after hearing than the colorado kid is Audrey's son (well Sarah's) it makes sense! I mean Audrey pushed away Nathan when she realised she's probably gonna disappear, so it's logical that she wanted her son to be away from her and in a good family so he can grow up happy. Plus, in the 9th episode called "Sarah" the synopsis tells us than Nathan and Duke travel back in 1955... What if Nathan is the Colorado Kid father? My mind would explod.

Nathan dead will be quite fine by me but I know it is not gonna happen.Lucas Bryant has lovely eyes but that's about it. Ben Mckenzie did the brooder better on the OC! I don't know what Nathan is closed up about and quite frankly I don't care. More interested in the triubles, Duke, Audrey even Jordan than I am in Nathan. I've already detached myself from this TV triangle because it is predictably going to go the way all syfy triangles go. With the least appealing pair but the lead male. I don't think the writers have the guts to buck the trend.
Bravo Haven!! I was lamenting recently that very few shows surprise me anymore as I have been watching far too many for far too long and that causes the mind to start seeing patterns & thinking like the writers. I now eat humble pie as I did not see this particular Tommy angle coming, though I agree with the reviewer and GeneralRapunzel...there's a red herring or two in there somewhere! Just seeing Nathan shot & dying/dead was heartbreaking even when we know he won't stay that way :) Let's hope Audrey wakes the hell up & spends her "last days" with the love of her many lives...seriously woman, grab Nathan & don't let go!
I agree - Haven is knocking my socks off too. Good thing that it's nearing winter and I don't them for my Uggs, eh?
I also think it may be a bit too early for the reveal of the bolt gun killer. There are six episodes left after all. However, maybe the bolt gun killer saw the grave Tommy was digging and has blackmailed him into being his accomplice. Because that was definitely a white guy who killed the girl for her scalp at the ATM (I rewatched the scene from the previous episode just to be sure). But this is Haven, so your idea that either Tommy's or the real killer's trouble caused them to switch bodies could very well be true. Maybe Tommy switched bodies with that guy Grady for just the ATM murder and then killed him just in case. I don't know.
I don't think Tommy expected Audrey and Duke to arrive at the cabin and was going to shoot the girl and frame her for the murder of Nathan. Obviously I don't think Nathan will die. He better not. I want a happy ending for Naud
