The Vampire Diaries Holiday Spoilers: An Ancient History Lesson

at . Comments

How will The Vampire Diaries celebrate the holidays next month? With milk, stockings and general merriment, of course.

Just kidding! With what The CW is describing as "chaos and violence."

The network has released the official synopsis for "O Come, All Ye Faithful," the show's December 13 installment and the final outing of 2012. Consider yourself spoiler warned, specifically regarding certain characters that are still around, and read on for the description:

As a Winter Wonderland-themed party fills the streets of Mystic Falls, Stefan and Caroline find themselves at odds with Tyler over his plans for Klaus and his hybrids.

When Caroline proposes a solution to their problem, Hayley finds a dramatic way to make it clear that she is not on board.  Later, Klaus makes a discovery that leads to chaos and violence.

Meanwhile, Elena and Damon retreat to the Gilbert Lake House to help Jeremy conquer some dangerous inner demons with the help of Bonnie and Professor Shane, who reveals a piece of ancient history that leaves them all speechless.

It looks like their holiday time will be turned with surprising twists and turns but I can't wait to see what'll happen throughout season 4. =O

yeah i cannot believe their using that cabin. And stop trying to make damon unselfish, its what made his character. So mad right now its unbelievable. Im happy because its change, and its tvd so its exciting. But PLEASE let stefan and elena find each other again in the end. I fell in love with their story

I agree with Julia. Im actually so diasspointed because theyre runing what SE was... UGH. Stefan, who was my favourite character just decided he couldnt handle elena being aggressive. like WHAT. she fought for him all through season 3 in his ripper stage and hes seen her at pretty horrible stages in her life. I dont think her killing someone who shot her borrother will turn him off. and now damons " sweet" and willing to help Stefan find a cure... seriously. They better do something to make me like these characters again.

Interesting... As much as I love Delena to have this triangle drag out into the fourth season is ridiculous.
I understand that they didn't want to pull a GG and give the fans what they want (Chair) only to realize that half the fun is the chase. And then in order to have a decent plot (while still dragging out triangles)they wrote themselves stupid.
Nina is a great actress, however Elena is a drab character...but she is getting more dimensional. Maybe half the fun of Delena is the forbidden aspect. I love these two but chemistry can only do so much.
So hopefully they are an endgame, or once they do finally become a couple their relationship won't rule their screen time.

He is constantly making Elena question herself, her feelings and gets her to question what she is really wanting out of life. She lives in total denial and is forcing herself to take the path that she is on because it is "safe and secure". LOL, whatever you say. P.S. How can you even name The Return as challenging DE moment when Damon killed Jeremy in that episode? The Last Dance Damon just proved how selfish he is that he would choose Elena over everyone else and in the Last Day he tried to turn her against her will?

To name a few specific episodes that Damon challenges Elena; The Return, 2,1; The Sacrifice, 2,10; The Descent, 2,12; The Last Dance, 2,18; The Last Day, 2,20; Disturbing Behavior, 3,4; Heart of Darkness, 3,19. Just to name a few. He is constantly making Elena question herself, her feelings and gets her to question what she is really wanting out of life. She lives in total denial and is forcing herself to take the path that she is on because it is "safe and secure". Damon is all that Stefan isn't, he's passionate love, excitement and a challenge. Stefan is boring.

Is it me or does the show throwing Elena ,Damon and Bonnie together this season?we have the college thing and episode 6 there is bonnie and Damon "investigating" something and there is Elena and Damon I mean if he spend the good portion of the eppy with bonnie then there is a good chance Elena is with them and now this lake house thing I am just curious!

I think that I will only watch an episode again if Elijah is in it. Frankly I'm sick of the love triangle (so sick of it I could scream) and Elena playing with Stefan's and Damon's emotions. She is losing a lot of stock in my opinion. Her whole 'care about everyone' attitude is getting old. It's become a cover for not having to make a decision and sticking to it.

a force Delena!!! why Damon and Elena always on a road treat? elena choose @ season 3 so stop the love triangle and move forward...

@Amie Any episode where they interacted ever. She tries to change him and he tries to get her off her high horse. Thats too vague...hence, not applicable, I believe in facts. Thats why I say name episode and scene. Should be very simple since that "challenge" thing is one DE fans most common reasons, and yet no one ever proves this with anything, its just "they challenge each other".

Vampire Diaries Quotes

You want a love that consumes you. You want passion and adventure, and even a little danger... I want you to get everything you're looking for. But for right now, I want you to forget that this happened. Can't have people knowing I'm in town yet. Goodnight, Elena.
