The most disturbing part of this episode was the black shirt with roses Rufus humphrey was wearing in his final scene! The most disturbing thing on this season, is that Dan Humphrey has actually become my favorite character! I love his ballsiness, and finally taking control of his life!

Nate and Serena won't ever get back together... It's Dan and Serena for the final, just like the beginning!!

  2. Zoran

I hope that Serena and Dan will not end up like Anthony and Gloria, because when Anthony finally got an inheritance, he and Gloria have lost the most important - love and become a two foreigners in the marriage!

  3. Zoran

Dan does not want to destroy NJBC, he wants to be a part of it, but an equal member, he wants to be equal with them and to respect him! On the other hand, Dan also wants to become as powerful as Chuck, or rather, Bart, and that was Dan’s plan from season 2 when he wrote a story about Bart! As Dan was talking with Rufus at the end of the episode he says that he does not wants to return to Brooklyn, but he have a plan that has already on the way to achieved! From pictures we saw in the next episode, Dan and Bart will connect, and I hope that Dan will not lose his soul, and he will at some point decide to help Chuck! This all looks like a novel Beautiful and Damned, which Serena mentioned at the end of season 4. I read the book, and the resemblance is amazing - Dan is Anthony, and Serena's Gloria! There is a part in which is Antony with a girl, just like Dan and Blair! I hope that Serena and Dan will not end up like Anthony and Gloria, because when Anthony finally got an inheritanc

  4. Zoran

What did Nate to Dan, so he always mixed into the relationship between Serena and Dan, although it is clear that Serena only loves Dan! This all looks like Bart brunch from season 1!

  5. Zoran

@Maribells, you're wrong, @roventica is right! Look again episode 6x08 and you will understand. Dan was clear when said to Serena that he wrote is the truth, and done what Serena and others do to each other and nothing more! Serena made a mistake by inviting Stephen to dinner, because she repeated the same mistake as with Ben! Dan's reaction was expected, after talking with Steven, Dan has changed the decision and pulled the positive chapter of Serena and posted negative! And it was also a test for Serena, where she fell of course! Because from the conversation between Serena and Dan is clear that the two of them are still in love, but again they have a problem with communication! Nice to see that Serena is still in love with Dan, because she felt sorry when Nate hit Dan! Rufus, of course, as usual, complicated situation when he spoke with Dan, before dinner. What did Nate to Dan, so he always mixed into the relationship between Serena and Dan, although it is clear that Serena on

Don't get me wrong I have loved GG since it started in 2007, but I am only watching it now because I know its ending. I feel myself less and less invested in the things I once loved about this show - like Chair. I am mildly interested in Dan's storyline though .. I think his plan is to use the stories to get GG out of hiding somehow .. I mean we have to find out who she is somehow - it would be so lame if she just decided to reveal herself because its the finale!

Maybe the last chapter will be about himself, Dan Humphrey! Or about knowing who's gossip girl? #wildguess

Honestly, I love Dan as a character, but I could tell that Penn Badgley couldn't give a sh!t about the role anymore. He was even worse to watch than Ed Westwick's perpetual whisper. And I usually skip the Chuck involved scenes.

Either way, I hope the final chapter is about himself. Dan mentioned that he was his own worst critic in the Insider, so it wouldn't be any different. Except hopefully Dan goes even darker to add some much needed twist. But the spoiler photos are actually showing everyone attending the Chair wedding... which means it'll be a boring ol' happily ever after. It will be a fitting ending to this terrible show I suppose.

Dark Dan is by far the most interesting thing this season. I'm glad he's crushed all of them, because whether fans believe he's right or not - they have all had it coming. Dan speaks the truth and I'm glad he's finally taking a stand. Besides, it was hilarious to see him take down and break Serena down like that. Honestly, she couldn't wait to jump back at Steven? What does that say about her!?

@Mo and Z, thanks, that's what I think and I actually hope people don't think it is real friendship we are seeing on screen in this Serena-Blair-Nate-Bass charade. I think people are so judgmental when it comes to "outsider" characters embodied by Dan (but actually, there were Jenny, Vanessa, Ivy etc.) who do bad things but so forgiving when it comes to Blair's crowd. Just see how all the outsiders are made despicable (so much that in general, we want them to just go) whereas the Upper East side crowd just look as fabulous as ever when they are in their "skimming place". They almost seem innocent in their own skim in a way, like because they're so rich, they don't know the real world and they just haven't learn the rules everybody else were frighten by (the rule of honesty and law), poooor rich people... and we watch the show and finally think it's normal for them to do bad things and wrong for the "outsiders" to do the same.

I don't understand why everyone is against Dan when his completely right about all these guys, they are hypocrites and can't deal with the fact that Dan (he has guts) has exposed them for who they really are. B is still always skimming like she did in high school, Chuck will never stop fighting with Bart and cant be with Blair unless he wins and Nate is backstabbing his own best friend to save himself when he made the choice to do something illegal. I actually feel sorry for Dan, his doing it to be like them when those people are nothing to aspire to. So lets see how it all ends.

  12. MrsBass

I want my Serenate!! why writers why?? I´m so sad they are my favourite couple from the very first episode, anyway I really liked last night´s episode it felt like good old Gossip Girl for me I´m going to miss the show

    @roventica
Agree with you completely. Serena has messed Dan around for three and a half seasons and is now getting a taste of her own medicine. Shouldn't be careless with people's feelings time and again. Nate should get off his high horse - he was quite willing to publish all these articles. Dan is absolutely correct - these characters call themselves the NJBC but they are some of the most judgmental, backstabbing, two faced individuals. I actually think Dans final article should be about him and how being in their 'world' dragged him down and how he lost himself. However it won't - it will be some crap that will take down Bart and everyone will be 'friends' again. Boring, boring, boring.

Here's the thing- Dan feeling like a visitor on the UES was not Serena's doing. She did nothing to cause him to feel that way. Those are just his own insecurities, and it's ridiculous of him to blame them on everyone but himself. It was stupid when he freaked out about it in 2x03, and it's stupid now. Of all the characters, I actually think Dan still has the most growing up to do- which is odd, given that he probably started out light years ahead of the rest of them in the pilot.

@roventica Seriously? How on earth can you describe what Dan did as "standing up for himself"? What did Nate ever do to him? Or Serena, for that matter? There's absolutely no excuse for how he used and humiliated Serena in this episode. And the worst part is, Dan isn't even sorry- he's still acting like he's in the right! Like if he insults the rest of them enough, tries to drag them down to his level, then it makes it okay for him to be a total douche. Ugh.

  16. roventica

I don't understand people's reaction about Dan. I think the dude stands up for himself for once and he is right when he said to Serena that what he did was not worst than what her friends and herself have been doing to each others everyday, trying to ruin each other and then sited down to Thanksgiving and called themselves a family. It makes sense that he would become that kind of guy with that crowd. It would be naive not doing so.

As usuall a ridiculous episode...but hey it's Gossip Girl...I'm at peace with it by now...but still had to laugh pretty hard about Blair when she asked Nate if he was talking about Chuck's dentist :D This was just so absurd I cracked up^^ I also didn't like Blair's Pocahontas outfit or her other outfit btw...I mean seriously: How can you possibly permanently dress up someone looking as hot as Leighton Meester in such an unflattering way?! This goes on for seasons now!! I mean she is tiny and petite and they make her wear a slack suit in that she appears just bulky. I could rage on and off about this because when you don't have an actual good storyline then please at least give the audience some eye candy...and I'm saying this as a straight woman!! Speaking of eye candy I enjoyed the part where Nate punched Dan in the face. He deserved that and I was turned on by Nate for the first time in this whole series!! :D But I actually like Nate this season anyway. More than in any others... So

  18. Zoran

@dpsmile, It did not start with Nate and Serena, it started with Serena and Dan and so will be finished - the marriage of Dan and Serena, and Blair and Chuck!

  19. z

Rather a douchebag than an ungrateful, spoilt, violent, mentally abusive, sexual predator!

  20. kaitleen

Let me just say this about Dan- he's not the ultimate insider, he's the ultimate douchebag.

  21. Zoran

@b, Do not worry everything is right with Serena and Dan, their love did not stop, Dan only had a little to divert and help Chuck to destroy Bart! You'll see that Serena and Dan will be together again, maybe already in the next episode!

  22. chase21

Man I wished Dan would have put the beatdown on Nate. I also wish that someone else would dress Dan. Chuck has more style than anyone I have ever seen, yet Dan looks like a homeless person. There's nothing cool about wearing a v-neck and all that hair is showing.... uck!!

  23. kjo

also, i think nate & sage are cute together. man bangs needs some fun in his life.

  24. kjo

i actually really like serena with steven. so she has daddy issues. but with steven, she's a mature responsible adult. he brings out the best in her.

  25. kjo

blair's storyline would have been so much better if she was happily married to louis. OR if she had the baby. OR if she & dan worked out. as least that would have been new, interesting, exciting. drawing the whole chuck & blair, blair & chuck love story season after season was a complete waste... it's so boring now.
