Charlotte Rampling has landed a key role in Dexter Season 8.

The veteran British actress will recur on the Showtime smash as a neuro-psychiatrist who specializes in profiling criminals in unusual ways. It's a character who will reportedly play a significant role on what is believed to be the final season of this drama.

Rampling is likely best known State side for roles in Stardust Memories, The Verdict and The Duchess.

Dexter, meanwhile, will return three months earlier than usual, premiering at the end of June and leading into the new Showtime series Ray Donovan.
