Da Vinci's Demons

Starz has announced the premiere date for Da Vinci's Demons.

The historical thriller - starring Tom Riley as a version of this iconic painter and co-written by David Goyer of Dark Knight fame - will debut on Friday, April 12 at 10/9c.

“He’s kind of super-hero-y,” Goyer told reporters yesterday at the network’s press tour Q&A in Pasadena on. “[Some have said that] aside from Christ he’s the most recognizable figure in the world... my approach wasn’t entirely dissimilar to [writing] Batman or Superman... [Da Vinci] had an incredible life, we didn’t have to embellish as much as you’d think.”
