I was happy with tonight's episode, mostly because they made a plan to kill an original and it actually worked for once lol. I thought the teamwork between elena and jer was awesome. I thought Klaus/Damon bonding time was also fantastic, I'm surprised no one pointed out how Damon used to be a dick for no reason, but I would just say "yea but he's changed", Klaus has had a thousand years to grow, and he hasn't. Bonnie is now more kickass which I needed to see because she's a friggen witch, she should be unstoppable. I dont think Elena was jealous, I think she gave him that look as though to say "you are such a hypocrite". Part of the reason stefan was upset about elena and damon was because Damon has done such horrible things so how could she be with him. And now he's been with Rebekah, who is a complete brat. However, for the first time, she redeemed herself with trusting stefan. I hope for her sake she gets the cure and gets to be human again

This was such an awesome episode!
I was am still not a fan of Rebekah but I do like her and Stefan as a couple so far. Elena beong jealous was funny! Yes Rebekah did some mean things to her and wanted her dead but Elena told Stefan she no longer loves him and love Damon so she has no right to say who he moves on with.
Boonie sure has become more powerful!
I have to say that the Gilbert siblings sure can kick some butt! Kol was going to kill them so they had to kill him. Seeing Klaus so upset was a little surprising. I guess he wanted to dagger him but not kill him. Thn Klaus saying that he wanted to get the cure to destroy it and then kill them all, I guess I should have known that was his plan.
I am so looking forward to next week.

I did by no extent read the comments, but is anyone considering the chance Kol my come back via all who are sacrificed for Sialis being resurrected? Just a thought. Want him back. Only sort-of desperate.

I'm starting to worry about no Tyler and Caroline. What if the big death coming up is Carolines? I will weep my eyeballs out if Caaroline dies...it won't be funny :( As much as I love Rebekah I hope she dies but as a human. Please not Caroline :(
Ps for those boasting about the strenght of Damon fandom (based on Delena sites like this one + wetpaint) then please Julie Plec should team him with Bonnie 'BAMON' to create an amazing powerful twist. Damon fans are 99% & will stay no matter what no? :):):)

I really enjoyed this episode and was really proud of Elena and Jeremy. I'm sorry Kol was killed (he seemed to have potential) but I don't really care since his character wasn't developed well. Poor Matt never gets much screen time, they need to do something about that. My least favorite character of this episode was Rebekah. I can completely understand why Elena hates her. She does all these terrible things to people and acts like a spoiled brat, but wants every mans sympathy. For her to be an Original, she's so weak. I always think of her as a wounded puppy that allows men to kick her around and use her. I wish they would kill her off the show or just send her to spinoff. On another note, I'm glad Klaus received his reality check. His I'm god, fear me attitude was starting to irk my nervous and he was finaly checked by Elena, Jeremy and Bonnie.

Alright, Matt. We need to form a team here. You think Katherine is part of the mystery team who came after the head stone. I like it. I think Mayor Hopkins, traveling pharmaceutical salesman, is the other part of that team.
He travels the country selling pharmaceuticals as a cover but what he's really doing is amassing vast amounts of knowledge--and vervain--with Katherine's help so that he can...do whatever it is their plan is with Silas.
This has to happen.

What an awesome episode!!!!! I couldn't agree more with your review!!!! My favorites : Klaus Rebekah were more adorable,without losing their edge and amazing than ever! Stefan made the step that Caroline can't make in their distraction games..so although i was kind of mad at him i loved all of his scenes! Damon and Klaus = Golden interaction! And the Gilbert clan was actually efficient for a change!I even liked Elena for a change.Katherine mention also... Overall, despite the fact that i m 100% TeamOriginals and they took a major blow here and i actually cried for Kol's death I liked that there was a win for the main characters at last. Also i hope we get Kol back- Shane said that Silas will resurrect all those who died for his release! As Nate Buzolic said #allthingspossible! Here we go Tvd is sooo back on track!

Loved this episode. The episode was really great I didn't even miss Caroline or Tyler I kind of forgot got about them this episode. I think rebekah should get the cure because all she really wants is to be human and even though she can be a total bitch sometimes she deserves it. Jeremy and Elena's plan to kill kol worked but not in the exact way they planned it. Locking klaus in there living room was great. Klaus was going to kill kol but like he said on his terms and his time he hated how Elena and Jeremy and we learned he didn't care about his hybrids or Elena being human he just wanted the cure so he could destroy it. Bonnie's getting more interesting but I hate her father I feel like he's just getting in the way of her saving her friends. Can't wait for the next episode it should be awsome.

Rebekah was amazing this episode... i think she will become human...
i miss Caroline though 2 episodes without her is enough...
what i dont understand though is why kill kol if they are setting up The Originals series... the more originals the better...
love TVD and TV F all the way from Ireland...

an episode without caroline is not a good episode for me. however, i understand that the storyline is getting more and more intense and it's necessary to put caroline/tyler/klaroline storyline on the back burner for a little while. i understand. this was a good episode after many lackluster episode. i'm actually really looking forward to next week's episode. joseph morgan is such an incredible actor. i think i'm finally on board for "the originals"

Great review! As @Matt mentioned above “you reeled me back” yess I am back as well this was a really great episode I enjoyed a lot.
That been said, I have a few though to share about the people who post under TVD review, I know everyone is entitle to their free will opinions, But there is no limit when it come to the way of how some people write their comments, they are very negative and nasty to read, using the F word and what not? Is a show not real life some people need to take a pill chill and stop been dramatic?

First of all, I loved this episode! It's been way too long since I was really invested in what was going on.
But also, I may be a little confused or forgetful but why would the Gilberts kill Kol? I mean, how do they know that Elena/Damon/Stefan's bloodline wasn't descended from him?? Did they figure out who they're descended from in an earlier season...? Thanks

Can we just for embrace for a moment the fact that elena didn't screw a killin plan with letting her guilty conscience gettin in her way..lol..she made a plan and it worked somehow..that was great..and Stefan wasn't boring for the first time..also great..and becky and him..just simply great to watch..and damon and klaus..perfect ..wonderful episode..

I thought the best line of the night was given by Bonnie's father, in response to her saying how she's responsible for protecting the town. She's not protected the town....many many innocent people have been killed or gone missing. She's starting to get that holier than thou attitude. She's definitely going the Dark Willow route.

So, so much love for this episode! Klaus and Rebekah were trully the highlights of it. How...HOW cute was that Rebakah actually got to go to her very own prom thanks to Stephan. I really hope she'll get to become human again and though i'm totally rooting for Strebekah right now,if that doesn't last, i hope she'll find a guy like John Cusack who will stand under her window with a beatbox and fight for her heart.
Damon's talk with Klaus was also beautiful. And i know....i know that the chances of Klaroline happening are dying a painful death, but i will never stop being in love with this pairing. Some say that it takes away from Klaus as a villain but i think it makes him even better;complex, multi-layered.
Sadistic Stephan and the tension between the Salvatore brothers were also very exciting to watch!

So a baby vamp & her hunter bro in training got the jump on kol ............... Really.
I pretty sure they are all blinded but maybe they should all stop having faith in shane you hardly know him and he's made bonnie some psycho who needs saving more than Elena right now.
Again Elena why do you look jealous that Stefan slept with Rebekah, Damon has too not that you care anymore.
When they awaken Silas and he goes crazy bet they are going to wish they listened to Kol then but it will be to late.

1. I am waiting for the OG show to jump off. Then good riddance,TVD. This show's horrid writing and Damon/Delena obsessed fandom/reviewers will be the death of it. It's to the point you cannot even get an objective critique of the show because reviewers are hugging IS's nuts. I look forward to a show free of IS worship. And I am petty enough to say HD is NOT his friend.
2.Julie Plec faps to Ian Somerhalder like a mad badger and Elena is her self insert,through which she and rabid Damon/IS fangirls can be with him. Damon can do no wrong,he can snark as much as he likes,take over Stefan's friends,take his girl,and the only people sopping this shit up are equally obsessed DE/Damon fangirls.
3. Damon using the holy DEx as an insult to Stefan was just peachy. I thought finally getting the chance to hit the holy vagina Stefan has already repeatedly run through would always be sacred. But I guess I was wrong.
4. Elena is a Mary Sue all day. Her characterization this season is absolut

Kol, we hardley knew ya. Yeah, his death doesn't really bother me except for the lazy writing. Elena going from we can't kill innocent vampires to killing off a whole bloodline. Also the fact that somehow none of the vampires that we know happen to be decended from Kols bloodline? Yeah, what are the odds?
I really hope when/if the cure is found Rebekah gets to become human. Somehow I get this pic in my head that she'll become human, only to be killed soon after. As she lays dying Stefan wants to turn her but she refuses saying she'd rather die human then live vampire.
Elle542 that asked about the koala clip ons, yup I had one in the 80's. Not as a corsage though. People cliped them everywhere, binders, lockers, drapes, car mirrors etc. It started with koalas but soon there were a lot of variations. I think I still have a clip on unicorn some

I´m looking forward to the next episode. The promo is promising. And Joseph Morgan is awesome. His face when Kol was killed and Damon and he are really a great pairing. "Villain bounding" ^^
