Definatly my favorite 2 parter, and having James Brolin as Daddy Castle was absolutely brillant! Hoping Hoping that we get to see him again.. Come on and renew for season 6 already!
As castlelover66 said.. the scene between Castle and his dad, where his dad told him " I've always been proud of you. Always." When I heard "Always", that word took on a whole new meaning for Castle... Awesome writing on these past 2 episdoes.
I also, liked Beckett in the interogation room.. That girlfriend of the victim didn't know who she was dealing with...they only thing that could've been sweeter, was having Espo and Ryan watching from the observation room.

1 - It's so difficult to choose a favorite scene! I loved Kate losing it in the interrogation but I'll have to go with that whole emotional scene as Castle realizes he's going to lose his connection to his dad for now and dad tells him he's proud of him - ALWAYS. My tears were flowing.
2 - Ditto what all of the Roundtable Team said. He was definitely the man for the job!
3 - I love the way they handled that question. Dad definitely left the door open for it, even though it wouldn't be any time soon, and I really believe that we'll see Brolin at least once more.
4 - What I loved about the Beckett scene was that it came out of nowhere. Kate just cracked and that element of contrast to the way she'd been up until then was great. I didn't really perceive Castle to be a super spy in this. I was totally immersed in the emotion of a desperate father and that, for me was the BEST part of the whole thing.
5 = Definitely my new #1!

1. I honestly can't pick just one but I did love the ending. Nice to see Kate and Martha waiting for them to come home.
2. I never realized how ruggedly handsome James Brolin was until I saw him on Castle.
3. We must have him back. Did I mention the ruggedly handsome part?
4. I've got to go with BadAss Beckett. Stana Katic never fails to blow me away.
5. This one took over the top spot as the best 2-parter of the series! Can't wait for next year's. Come on ABC. Bring on season 6!

Rating the two parters: This has become my new favorite. Second is season 3, then season 2, then season 4.

I loved this 2-parter! These 2 episodes really added depth 2 Rick, Kate & Alexis' characters. I hope they do more because of the enhanced drama. Now, will they develop Brolin's character or will they just mention him now & then. Should be interesting 2 see!
