John Corbett to Lead NCIS: Los Angeles Spinoff

by at . Comments

John Corbett has been tapped to track down bad guys all over the country.

CBS sources confirm that the actor (Sex and the City, United States of Tara) will portray Roy Quaid, a Special Agent-turned-Analyst, on the upcoming backdoor pilot that is expected to lead to a fall series order for the follow-up.

Look for Quaid to possess the most experience on this unique Red Team, which criss-crosses the nation as it solves crimes.

Edwin Hodge and Miguel Ferrer (as Assistant Director Owen Granger) have also been cast as series regular on the spinoff.

Dittos to the "NE" reference... and cast as the female lead for the show - and the team - Kim Raver as Special Agent Paris. Liked her on 3RD Watch...

Anything which gets Granger off NCIS LA is fine by me. For those (probably few, but not dead yet) oldsters on this board, like me, you could mention that John Corbett was the brilliant Chris-in-the-Morning on Northern Exposure. I never saw his two later shows you mention, but Chris was one of the integral parts of a superb NE cast, and Corbett deserves to have that mentioned at every opportunity.

NCIS: Los Angeles Quotes

Kensi: Because once again you're trying to say something without actually saying it. And it's driving me nuts.
Deeks: I think you lost me.
Kensi: No. I don't think I did. I think you know exactly what I'm talking about.
Deeks: Do I?
Kensi: Damn it, Deeks, you asked me out on a date without actually asking me out on a date. Now, if this keeps going this way and we can't communicate, and we've been over this -- you never say what you mean, and if this is the way it's gonna be, then I don't know how we're ever gonna --
Deeks: I don't want to be here with you right now.
Kensi: What?
Deeks: I want to be at my place, right now ... with you.

Kensi: Just you and me. Kensi and Deeks. Deeks and Kensi. Alone we're bold, we're brash, we can move mountains. And, together we're, um,
Deeks: We're safe. Yeah I know.
Kensi: I want to be bold Deeks, but I want to be bold with you.
Deeks: So no more games then?
Kensi: No more games.
