aarrgghh! stop the Chinese water drip torture already! from the Eli-erased message to now- nothing but numberless-by-now seasons & episodes of Just Missed moments--
let Alicia and Will happen ! please! for good. for better. for worse. etc
ok. got that out of my system. sheesh.
absolutely love the crackle and snap of Elsbeth and Diane and Will and Alicia and Cary.. the 'mock' trial had wonderful sparks flying.
I appreciate the writers did not choose the easier/pleasant way and let Alicia and Cary in on what 'we' knew: that Diane and Will were against un-inviting the fourth years as partners..
terrific acting, as usual, from the whole cast. admirable that this series has managed to avoid slipping into Soap Opera territory- it has stayed taut.
thanks for the entertainment!

This may be a fiction show but anybody thinks there is chemistry with Will lives in a fantasy world, if you all can remember the cell phone call that Grace overheard regarding Georgetown days where she said if it had been it would have only lasted a week. She knows he is a big liar and can't be trusted in any relationship, The latest kiss and pull away meant that she was no better than what she had blamed Peter for way back. Trust is the problem in him and in herself, since the start Peter has been the perfect angel where she has been the complete reverse seeing all the lies and backstabbing of people around her at the same time very blind that the firm Lockhart&Garniner are using her to sway Peter away from the underhandedness.
The way the ratings are going there won't be a season 5, the end will come when Alicia's kids find out all about good old mom and how fast the partnership came about with only 4 yrs back and how it got her there, plus an envelope slid under the apartment

Y'all do understand that the title of the show, "The Good Wife", is meant to be ironic, right?
Peter cheated on Alicia TWICE that we know about. Does anybody really think that's all he's done? And if you look at the relationship they have, it's obvious that there is no "love" left; Alicia no longer trusts Peter and the only reason she is having sex with him is because she is getting back at her mother for telling Peter that he needed to divorce Alicia so that she could be happy.
Alicia and Will have more chemistry being on opposite sides in a courtroom than Alicia and Peter have gettin'-it-on on a campaign bus. A/W have loved each other since Georgetown and that will never change. Now that they are no longer boss-employee, they can have an actual relationship. Yipee!!!!!
And for all of you who think that Alicia was wrong to take the partnership, do you think Cary would have turned it down if they had offered it to him? Y'all know the answer is "no". So quit piling on Alicia fo

Hey SID YOUR FULL OF ????, what have you been watching for the 4 seasons holding hands with John. He has the same attitude (they knocked off according to you-- knock off the Will/Alicia BS) get it right. Yes I do see a model for marriage I guess your not married probably divorced. The writers should have ended Alicia's marriage from the beginning, that would of put the show in the basement with the other dead ones.

I wonder about Alicia sometimes. She asked Wil if she got reasked to be partner because he kissed her but she did not think it was because of what David Lee said: because of your husband! You know the guy you got made at for cheating on you, then you cheated on him, then go back to him for angry sex and when you need him to throw his weight aroud when you want something..you know the guy you want leave. How foolish can she be?! They are using her and Cary knows it. That is why they picked her also, Cary is so much smarter than her when it comes to what is going on in the office.

Youloo, they knocked off according to you the "Will/Alicia BS", quite some time ago and the ratings have been steadily declining, so I really don't know what you're talking about. In fact, ever since they caved in and changed the direction they built up in the first two seasons the show has been pretty boring.
And as for the people saying a Will Alicia storyline will not work for a show called the good wife is crazy. Do you see a model for marriage on this show? Alicia and Peter don't even live together. Is that what you want to promote, that marriage is a prison that you have to live with? That's twisted thinking.
The writers should have ended Alicia's marriage to Peter from the beginning. Her failing at reconciliation is what is tarnishing the character and the show; not Will. The only way to salvage the mess they've made is to kill off Peter. Hope they do that.

Great episode till you put in the kiss part then it went south, that is water under the bridge and the ship sailed. As an avid fan we need more hard nose and not this pussy footing around all the time.
How about giving it more drama and put Will and Dianne in the hot seat with backstabbing actions, then we will see the true Will and Alicia can grow up and become a true wife and mother along with a career. This might bring the ratings up before CBS shuts you down its only a matter of time. while you are at it stop this one new episode every three weeks then wait anther two for another one, people are getting tired and moving on with other better programming.

Love the Alicia/Will dynamic and dimension! I watch GW mainly to see writers' development of the person-hood and relationship issues of these 2 very smart successful lawyers' lives bonded from past and present experiences.

Alicia and Carey should work together even if it is for another firm. I think she should take the big bonus she gets and leave with him to open another firm. I don't want to watch the show if they are fighting again...no fun. They need Kalinda too.
Elsbeth is great.
Will and Alicia click more than Alica and Peter.

It would have been great to see Alicia and Cary going it alone. But that would have been difficult to bring off as there would be less reason to use the rest of the cast (Alicia might have wanted to see Will again, of course). Cary has been sidelined one more time - and David Lee's comments about Alicia's husband's name is just too true. I think we might just have witnessed the show's climax. Will it ever match this episode's drama again?

If you want this show to go into a 5th season knock off the Will/Alicia BS, it is hurting the entire TGW ratings. Everyone thinks she is playing Peter for sex, lets write it right and move him back in and move on with the real reason.
Some where the writers and producers will open up and put together better storylines from all sides work, home, and family. And how about opening Alicia eyes to the fact they are using her for personel gain on Peter and not her, it shows she is still a very weak person and can be used as a puppet very easily.
I also agree with the comment that there is a moll in the firm, think back several episodes when Cary came back, what happened at the welcome back drinks at the bar ?
Alicia is definitely not in love with Will. Attracted? You bet. Using Peter to relieve her sexual tension? Absolutely. But the name of the show, in case you have forgotten, is "The Good Wife." Alicia is now chiefly a pragmatist, not a romantic, and for purely pragmatic purposes she is clearly invested in being Mrs. Florrick. In fact, it was made clear to her that she was being offered the sole partnership going on the strength of being married to the putative next governor of the state.

The episode was great and the associates beating the bosses in a mock trial was brilliant but for me the kiss totally deflated a lot of the show for me. The Good Wife can never be TGW as long as her character continue to have an affair. She called off Lee from filing for a divorce so what is she thinking? We can all see that Will won't work. Will's character is greatly narcissistic, schemer and liar, among other faults. He is not a good match for Alicia though some fans are happy with a sordid affair. If the title of the show has any meaning the dirty wife storyline should be written out.

Loved the fast one Eli pulled with the help of his crack (or cracked) lawyer. Like you, at first I was disappointed that he would betray Peter's team but when he outsmarted the devious Josh, I practically cheered.
I was sad that Alicia took the partnership but I realize this isn't middle school where friendship loyalty comes first so this was more realistic. Carey time after time gets the short end of the stick and always responds honorably. He's my hero.

Loved this episode...finally things get moving. Will and Alicia should definitively get back together...it never ended really...
I was looking forward to this episode but had a completely different experience that Carla Day had.
The past few episodes have taken an alternate turn that presented challenges like the financial difficulties within the firm and Felicia's increasing reluctance about the firm. In this episode that suddenly went backwards. It wasn't the only thing the writers decided to return to either. This episode was too much "Boston Legal" stupid hijinks, the thing that helped kill that show.
The acting on this show has been touted through many avenues of media streams. It has been very beneficial to this show. This episode struggles to maintain the equilibrium that has helped it gather steam and rise to the cream.
There were so many interesting avenues this episode could have traversed but instead took one that was too obvious and characteristically depriving.

To whom it may concern Alicia made a very big mistake with Will and she knew it, she doesn't want it to go any further that's why Will said later good bye after their talk. She is not going to let Peter go no matter what people think, her family means a lot and would totally destroy her if they ever found out about what happened seasons ago with Will. PS Will has moved on as usual.
PS Her other associates will never trust her again, watch to see who will leave if the ratings don't cancel this show.

I really really agree with BoxyP
It depends on your background, corporate america is stressing anyone can make it, if he/she is extraordinary, so it's all about one against all.
It's coherent that Alicia accepts partnership, after all in this same place everyone was commenting Diane's lecture (past episodes), how great it was and how naif was Alicia thinking that merit was the only cause for the first offer.
I loved that they didn't even put sugar on the pill, bringing in the Florrick name again.
The authors know their job: a kiss is all it takes to get the pro this pro that groups to renew interest in the show.
To me: real surprise was Eli's storyline: great!
And as a plus the creepy David Lynch actor smiling at Elsbeth, that was where my interest went and that is were (IMO) this episode nailed it.

I don't really understand why people are so upset with Alicia, if the shoe was on the other foot Cary would have jumped at the opportunity. That's not to say I don't feel bad for Cary, it definitely sucks for him right now, but he knows he would have done the same thing if he'd been offered partnership.
Also, Will and Alicia have twice the chemistry she has with Peter, hands down. Clearly they still have feelings for each other and I can't wait to see how the rest of the season plays out.

I love the Will and Alicia thing. Peter is just a man who wants to go to the top at any cost. Alicia is a very popular woman and she can get him there. Will and Alicia are still very much in love and they need to do what it takes to make the romancce work. Peter is just using Alicia for power, okay and Alicia is using Peter for sex, but can she get Will for that, it will clealy the one I would go for ;-)

Good, fiery episode. But what will happen to Carey? Alicia and Carey work so well together. Don't want to see him turned in to an antagonist. I hope she really will get a partnership for him.
Love the zany but brilliant Elizabeth (or whatever her name is). Keep her on the show often!
What's with Alicia? Jumps Peter from time to time and then kisses Will in a moment of love/hate. I do not want Will and Alicia to get together or to rekindle a romance. I'm tired of this plot line.

It's an amazing episode though an uncomfortable one.
I mentioned uncomfortable because I am a BIG Alicia fan and I did not feel good that she jump ship.Honestly though I think 9 out 10 of us would do the same. This is an episode about office mutiny gone wrong. I think Will is very smart. He stop the mutiny by offering the chief the gold and the plan works.
This time Alicia really did betray her friends to be make partner. However I do think she is sincerely sorry about Cary and she do feel bad for him but that is life. This is probably the closest I come to really feeling sorry for Cary in all 4 seasons.
This is also the new Alicia. I doubt 4 years ago, she would have even started the mutiny. Perhaps after making partner she might push for Cary to be the same but at the moment, I think she just really wanted partnership.
On the bright side, I am really so happy seeing Elsbeth !I honestly thought this was Eli wanting to kick Jordan out of the campaign. I did not see that c

I was totally disquested with last nights episode, as a 5th yr associate with a law firm which takes about 10 years to be considered as a junior partner that Alicia stabbed all her other associates in the back when they met to force the firm to reconsider and she jumped ship. This shows how weak of a person she really is and can not be trusted again, she is so blind to see the firm keeps using her because of Peter. Little do they know he has a mole on the inside.
As for the kiss the writers and producers made a very big mistake putting it back in, now everyone thinks its on again forget it Peter is the one and Will is done. As a woman I can read between the lines with this type of character which he plays and dump him fast. Her kids would make life so miserable for her not to say the one with the brass ones also.
Veronica: Do you love my daughter? Will: I'm sorry? Veronica: Because if you do it's time to stop being polite about it, You have a window, but it's closing....
