Fox Renews Glee for TWO More Seasons!

by at . Comments

Great news today for those who didn't stop believing in Glee: Fox has renewed the musical comedy for Season 5... and 6!

The unexpected news come after a season in which ratings have slipped, although buzz surrounding the series remains strong. It aired its 500th performance last month.

Cheering for Jake

Said Kevin Reilly, Chairman of Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company, upon making the announcement:

Glee debuted as the first and only successful musical comedy series on television, and more than four years later, it continues to defy genres, break new ground and have a significant impact on popular culture. Week in and week out, Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Ian Brennan, Dante DiLoreto and the entire Glee team deliver a series that not only delights and surprises fans, but also inspires them to talk about, share, debate and engage with the show – and I’m absolutely thrilled to have them on board for another two seasons.”

Three more episodes remain in Glee Season 4, with spoilers revealing that Blaine will propose to Kurt on the finale.

Are you excited for TWO more seasons of Glee?

I think that Glee is broken too much. Altered its magical presence to become a venue for social agendas. It is not about the music or about relationship building anymore. Season 4 just sucked. I can't see Glee recovering from the mess of s4. Since Glee has 2 more seasons, it better change its format for me to watch it again. I'll give it 1 more episode in season 5. The premiere. If it sucks, then adios, Glee.

My whole family really loved Glee in the beginning, but now my children are asking questions that are difficult to answer; why do boys date boys, why do girls date girls, etc. The kids are just too young for me to try explaining homosexual relationships. So, we as parents have decided that there will be no more Glee in our house...... So sorry Glee, you really had a good thing going for awhile. Like when it was all about the music..........

Yeah this isn't a surprise for me because Glee has a worldwide fan base and with syndication around the corner they are looking at major bucks here. Lets face it Fox doesn't have too much going for itself. The Following is doing ok. It might get another season or two. Bones is almost at the end, American Idol has been going down and down. The comedies suck majorly.

I didnt really like Glee anymore after half of the 2nd season.. so I dont care
but I think its unfair. They make so many ,,storytelling mistakes" and they dont even know if people will watch the next season - and they get 2 seasons and other good shows get cancelled.

Money Talks to FOX. Fact.

I think this is great news! I actually think this has been a great season so far! But I'd love to see more of Quinn and mike Chang next season, along with the other originals we still see now!
