You can put away your Save Ryan signs, Parenthood fans. NBC and Jason Katims have been listening.

On the heels of April's Season 5 renewal, TV Line confirms that Matt Lauria will return to the NBC drama this fall, appearing in approximately half of the already-ordered 22 episodes.

The former Friday Night Lights star captured the hearts of viewers last year as Ryan, with the character getting involved closely with Mae Whitman's Amber.

NBC (pleasantly) surprised many in April when it picked up Parenthood for a full fifth season.

It will premiere on Thursday, September 26 at 10/9 and we also know that Ray Romano will reprise the role of Hank on at least a dozen installments.

This is great news I love their characters together but why only half the episodes? That has me concerned that there is another break up on the cards...I hope they last, I think a long term relationship is good for Amber.

I'm sure, Wendy, that you realize it was a human error. It happens, im sure you have made mistakes before too. There is really no need to correct the writer if you already knew exactly what she was trying to say. Unless you would like to be reminded of your mistakes every time you make one.

in approximately have of the already-ordered 22 episodes…I think you meant half instead of have, sorry but I hate spelling mistakes :)
