On that shocking May episode, the series shocked viewers by killing off Colin Donnell's Tommy. But Stephen Amell makes it very clear in the following exclusive interview with TV Fanatic: the death of Oliver's close friend was not in vain.
Quite the opposite, in fact, as Tommy's death won't simply propel events on Arrow Season 2, but in the series as a whole. Watch the actor speak on his friend and the affect Tommy's death will have on his heroic vigilante now:
