It was a rubbish episode. I can't understand why Sully did not kill Mickey. Mickey is a great character & him leaving the show would leave a massive hole, but why write a scene where is going to be executed, but then talks his way out? Its ridiculous, I don't want any more of these homeland/24 shenanigans. I was really liking Ray Donovan for the mature tension of the show, it has been smashed with childish episode.
As much as I like this show and Micky is integral to the dynamics this episode bugged me the most this season. Micky has shown an uncanny knack for talking he's way into peoples lives. However, Sully not killing him made no sense. Ok, Micky may not have killed Colleen, but after Sully killed Sean why would he then NOT kill Micky. Micky still informed on him to the FBI, which led to he's brothers death, members of he's family and crew being put away and Sully being on the run. He still had plenty of reason to kill Micky. Plot contrivance at its worst.
Thanks. You could not have said it any better in respect to the plot being seen through fresh eyes. I really like seeing how the other characters in a sense revere Mickey and seem much more afraid of Ray. It is an interesting dynamic.
"like cotton candy next to a roaring fire"...PERFECT ANALOGY.
