good episode I hope they don't switch partners. I liked how Nate got Deeks to realize what he needed I loved when Kensi came over and was friend and Deeks finally getting sleep
And, until Deeks made the turn (Nate was fantastic pointing the way) to allow anyone in, he would be suffering alone. Hooray for Hetty, she was outstanding visiting Deeks and planting the seed that he could lose his partnership with Kensi and for sending Nate. I hope they continue to explore partner dynamics within the parameters of high risk cases. Partnership...as shown in the episode with the room filled with laser beams where Kensi had complete trust in Deeks to get her out. That was trust. I did enjoy the ending, not only because of the last line uttered by Deeks as he fell into sleep but because of the sheer relief of Deeks finally relaxing enough to fall asleep. Trust between Partners, nothing like it. 😊
Partners shouldn't be switched without a valid reason. The switch-up in partnership with Kensi and G came about because Hetty needed Nate to evaluate Sam. The resulting chat about Deeks and Sam by Kensi and G was good for both to help their partners going forward. Unquestionable trust where each partner knows how each will react in a high risk situation between partners take years to build. The ability for the partners to communicate by expressions, hand signals, etc. when entering a firefight or getting out safely rides on how completely in tune they become. Switch-ups in the past have not ended well as evidenced in the finale of S4.
It seemed like such a long time for Deeks to be tormented by the nightmares and insomnia without Kensi's support which was starkly contrasted with Sam's over abundance of support. Given the number of missed calls and the Cronut left on the doorstep, Kensi reached out and Deeks did not allow it. And until Deeks made the turn to allow anyone in, he would be suffering alone. Hooray for Hetty, she was outstanding visiting Deeks and planting the seed that he could lose his partnership with Kensi and for sending Nate. I hope they continue to explore partner dynamics within the high risk cases. I did enjoy the ending, not only because of the last line uttered by Deeks as he fell into sleep but because of the sheer relief of Deeks finally relaxing enough to fall asleep. I think that Kensi and Deeks are just friends.
Eric, Ask. The. Girl. Out.
I love how Kensi showed up like a friend and Deeks was able to relax. It was such a touching scene and well acted by both of them. I wish Callen could get a girlfriend.
I don't think they should change the partnerships. I love both teams and their banter, and I don't want to lose that. They've already switched them a few times in the past seasons, and while it was interesting to see the new dynamics for a short time, I was always glad when they got back to normal. And I don't see any problems with that - to me it doesn't make a difference if they love each other as partners and friends, like Sam and Callen, or as partners and, well, whatever Kensi and Deeks are going to be... And I really hope they'll be a couple soon, it's been long enough! (I agree, we don't need another Tiva - I wanted that relationship to happen, too, but after a few years it got really annoying...)
I'm usually not a fan of characters like this getting together but for these 2 it all seems so organic that I wouldn t mind, plus if they started on this rute I don t want to see the same old crap they did on NCIS with Tony and Ziva. Just decide, one way or the other.
I must say that Carla's idea of them swiching partners if Kensi and Deeks become a couple is great and I wouldn t mind seeing it. Even if Sam has a new found respect for Deeks I'm sure they'll keep teasing eachother.
Never thought I would enjoy NCIS LA more than NCIS but I do, so much more.
