I'm pretty certain Phoebe Tonkin got the part as a favor to Claire Holt. They are bff's after all.
Elijah gettin daggered was such an obvious scene. I expected Klaus to do it. And thats just sad.
well my name was elijah's katerina before scandal's premier today (uk time). i told everyone elijah was the better brother, he was tbh the only reason other than katerina why i put up with this show and it's spin off for so long. so glad elijah finally has a proper sl in the show!! so freakin happy!! i am guaranteed him every week YEAAAAAA
oo sidenote, haley's parents play a part in this story of the werewolves leaving town........
this bs of a witch being sired to marcelle is annoying and does not make sense
I am 100% now team Elijah!
I am glad the premiere refreshed our memory on the history of the Original Family. I know it was meant for people new to the show but I appreciated it.
I hope Rebekah finds Elijah soon and undaggers him OR that Klaus smartens up and realizes he needs his brother. However that is Klaus I am talking about so that will never ever happen, he does not think he needs anyone. Well aside from Caroline and we all know she turned him down.
I still say keep Originals on Thursday and move Reign to Tuesdays. It is a perfect fit.
I will watch this show only for Elijah. Love Love Love him!
I thought it was rubbish. Terrible writing. Great performances from most of the cast with the exception of Phoebe Tonkin, but the exposition was too heavy and the writing terrible contrived.
@highland0wolf--I actually thought interspersing scenes from the pilot with fresh material was a great way to 1) remind viewers what they'd seen in the pilot and 2) inform those tuning in for the first time.
I think Elijah will be back sooner rather than later, especially since next week seems to be flashbacks. We'll see him out of the coffin soon.
As for Kol, even though he wasn't supposed to have been daggered until 1912, I can fanwank that he didn't want to go with his siblings so Klaus daggered him and dragged him along and undaggered him when they got to New Orleans. Meh. It's kind of a technicality to me.
I'm sorry but I didn't think this episode was that great at all. And the last moments when Klaus staked Elijah...again...I just rolled my eyes. It's the same old over and over. Klaus acting like a 5 year old throwing a tantrum all the time. One of the main reasons to watch this show is Elijah and you're going to have him be 'gone' for how many episodes? I have to say I don't really have interest in watching this show.
so this episode was what, 2-3 minutes, everything else is stuff we have already seen
