TV Ratings Report: Community Crashes, Big Bang Rises

Dan Harmon returned last night for the Community Season 5 premiere.

But the creator did not bring viewers back with him.

The season premiere of this NBC sitcom drew in 3.7 million viewers and earned a 1.3 demographic among 18-49-year olds, while the second new episode of the evening garnered 3 million and a 1.2.

By comparison, the Season 4 premiere was seen by 3.9 million people and posted a 1.9.

The Vampire Diaries rerun: 840,000
The Big Bang Theory: 18.9 million/The Millers: 11.5 million
Community: 3.7 million/Community: 3.1 million
The Taste: 4.7 million

9 p.m.
Sean Saves the World: 2.7 million/The Michael J. Fox Show: 2.5 million

Reign rerun: 790,000

10 p.m.
Elementary: 8.9 million
Parenthood: 3.9 million
