A mother wins a week-long holiday and leaves her little girl with her cousin.

The cousin goes to the store and leaves the car door unlocked while she goes in for groceries. As you might expect, the girl is abducted and the BAU is called in to investigate.

As most of us know, it's important for authorities to find missing children within the first 24 hours of their abduction.  After that time, they're usually looking for a body instead. So the clock begins ticking.

The only problem: this is no ordinary abduction. For one thing, there are no strangers involved.

To add to the tension: a van stops by a river and a covered body is dumped into it.

Not everyone is as innocent as they seem, and not everyone is telling the truth. In fact, there's a whole sordid underbelly to the whole case - which the BAU has to discover.
