Pushing Daisies Movie, Musical: Both Coming Soon?

at .  Updated at .

We know a Veronica Mars movie is on the way. And a Chuck movie may eventually follow suit.

Could Pushing Daisies be the next television show to make a leap to the big screen?

Producer Bryan Fuller tells Broadway World that he recently had "conversations with with Barry Sonnenfeld about financing a film" based on the beloved, short-lived ABC series.

It centered on Lee Pace as the owner of The Pie Hole and as a magical man who brings the love of his life back to life, only under one unfortunate caveat: if he touches her, she dies for good.

Fuller adds that he's spoken to "Kristin Chenoweth and Warner Brothers about developing a stage musical" version of the show, which only lasted for two seasons.

But what a glorious, eccentric, heart-warming, hilarious two seasons it was.

Pushing Daisies received 17 Emmy nominations during its run (winning seven), with Chenoweth taking home Outstanding Supporting Actress in A Comedy Series.

It also starred Anna Friel, Chi McBride, Jim Dale, Raul Esparza, Ellen Greene and Swoosie Kurtz.
