Suits Review: Another You Problem

by at .  Updated at . Comments

There were a whole lot of "you problems" taking place in Suits Season 4 Episode 6 - and every single one only lead to more trouble for everyone involved.

Mike didn't tell Forstman about his rendezvous with Harvey or his deal with Forstman. Rachel visited Logan, but rather than come clean, she convinced Mike to ask for more in the Gillis deal than just the buyout; and Louis didn't make it to Harvey in time to prevent another folly.

In the end, everyone ended up paying.

Isolation

Going down the rabbit hole is the most dangerous journey anyone can take. And many of our favorite people took it this week.

First there was Mike. We knew nothing but trouble could come from his decision to cut Sidwell out, yet he was so blinded by his decision to take Harvey on that he completely ignored it and kept right on going.

He should have come clean when he had the chance. Didn't it suck to see Amy just sit there and watch Mike leave? I thought Mike might get his own Donna - as if anyone could really reach her level!

But he wasn't helped at all. Rachel did, after all, pursue Logan by going to his place. One would assume Logan would have been smart enough not to take advantage, but Rachel was sending mixed signals. Then, to cover up her indiscretions, she put his deal in jeopardy, sending a lot more into motion than she could have realized, including, ultimately, Mike's termination.

How did she contribute to his firing? Well, think about it a minute. If Mike hadn't thought he had all the leverage, he wouldn't have gone in so hot on the Gillis deal and taken Rachel's idea to push Logan out. If he hadn't chosen that path, then Harvey wouldn't have been forced to clean up and go to Forstman, who ultimately went back to Sidwell and sold him out.

Mike should have taken that job offer. Ok, maybe he did the right think by taking a pass.

Surprisingly enough, it was the Forstman route that also tripped up Louis, in perhaps the most unexpected turn of events, and the one that probably exposes the firm in the most profound way possible. Louis was looking like the man when Jessica came to him to double-check Jeff's work.

It was looking good when it turned out the way the sale went down actually invalidated it. What wasn't cool was the fact that Louis' discovery didn't make it to Harvey on time, and the solution to that oversight cost Louis even more. Now that he's been asked to make a sketch move, the questionable move Jeff made seems like a blessing compared to the flagrant decision Louis made to turn the other cheek to keep Harvey proud of him.

The house of cards has fallen, Suitors, and so far no one is left standing.

Who were you feeling the worst for at the end of the installment?

My boyfriend and I are not enjoying this season nearly as much as the previous ones. I hate that Mike and Harvey are on opposite sides now, and think Mike should go back to working alongside Harvey. I do really love Louis, and right now he is my favourite character. He has evolved so much since the first season. I don't like Rachel much right now.

So I liked what Louis did for Donna. I felt bad for Louis when Harvey yelled at him. However at the end when we find out exactly what he did I was not happy.
Harvey will be pissed too when he finds out and personally I think with the way Jessica has been acting and what she did last week and with what Louis did, Harvey will leave the firm by seasons end.
I also predict he will open a new firm and he wont hire Mike at the start because that way he will get Mike to get all of his former clients and they will find a way to make it legal if Mike is not working for him. Then he will hire Mike as his partner. Harvey will bring Donna and Mike will hire Jenny.
Also Rachel will tell Mike about Logan and he will kick her out. At this point the way Rachel has been acting, Mike is too good for her.

I think what everyone wants to say after this episode is: 'Goddamn Rachel!'. Not only was she pursuing Logan - I mean, if you want to end things with someone, you certainly don't go visiting them at their apartments-but she so selfish that she used Mike to cover her mistakes with Logan. It was her decision to push Mike to get rid of Logan as Harvey's client that started the domino effect - it got Mike fired, it got Louis in the impossible situation, it got all Pearson Specter in jeopardy. Of course, all these people contributed to this disaster but it all could have wrapped up pretty nice if Mike just bought Logan out. Drama is Suits specialty and now all I can wonder about is- what the hell Mike will do?

I hope Mike goes back to work at the firm. Not sure why but this season has not been as good as past seasons IMO. Still look forward to watching but not as much as before.

Same opinion here. This season so far - not a fav. I haven't enjoyed Harv & Mike being at odds, or Harv totally crushing Lewis.
Not exceptionally crazy about the Mike and Rachel relationship either.

I enjoyed last night's episode. I do get confused with all the different players and games, but I am slowly starting to figure things out. Feel bad for Louis. Was trying to step out of his quite role under Harvey, and ended up getting burned once again. I am quickly becoming a fan of Mike because despite some of his desperate ways to try and achieve happiness ,I believe he really is a good guy. I think Harvey and Mike will team up once again. Loved the way Donna figured out what went down between Rachel and Logan. Last week I felt certain that Rachel was going to give in to her last of Logan, and she almost did, but was happy to see her stop it after the passionate kissing. It's still wrong, but I truly believed her when she told Logan, no more. The problem now is how she tells Mike, because I'm afraid once Logan finds out just how much of a role she played in upsetting his deal ,Logan will try to blackmail her. Mike may have lost his job, but I don't think he's lost Rachel yet. Hopefully not and I don't even like the girl.

I was so mad at Rachel after the episode. Her manipulation all but put Mike at square one - he lost the job, he's at odds with Harvey, he's about to tell his girlfriend they're done because she's become too distant, and didn't try to breach the gap between them.
Second person I was mad at was Harvey - he came down on Louis so hard, put him through an emotional roller-coaster, doesn't respect him as a senior partner and it put the company in a jeopardy.
Jeff vs Jessica - Jeff's fault. He's Jessica's subordinate, and this wasn't the time to get all cocky.
Mike? Like with Travis and the math test, he had to do something questionable ('hook up' with Forstman and cut out Sidwell) to save someone in trouble, Gillis. I don't think it's about Mike being a fraud, it's about him 'coloring outside the lines' when he's emotional without keeping his interest and his company's best interest in mind. He's trying so hard to save someone, not let go, that his emotions get the best of him and send him down a very bad path. His impulsiveness gets him in trouble.

While I totally detested Rachel for her mental affair, and then starting a physical affair at his home, I was happy to see her stop it after their passionate kissing. I believe she truly loves Mike and doesn't want to have anything more to do with Logan. I could be completely wrong. I guess it will all come down to how Mike finds out and how they deal with it. I also think that as risky as a may be, Rachel should hold off telling him at least until he gets a chance to deal with being fired, however Logan may screw that up.

:) on a personal level I like the chemistry between Logan and Rachel and I can see them together. More so than with Mike...
Rachel has a lot to deal with - that dream she had in the hospital, and the fact that she did respond to Logan's kiss and worry this much about the flowers - it's a symptom of a bigger 'problem' she has with their relationship... And actually herself - she's always been this perfectionist, and Mike's flawed to begin with, and they're going to scramble, cause there's just so much to work out. It's not that I particularly liked Jenny, but she always seemed like a better fit with Mike.

I really liked Mike with Jenny too, and now I like Rachel with Logan. They have a higher chemistry than Mike and Rachel. I hated seeing Jenny go.

I liked Mike with Jenny also. I was not too happy when he and Rachel ended up together.

:) he seemed more like himself around her, more laid back, he definitely didn't make a big deal out of telling her his secret, he just did.
Rachel has one advantage - she's the kind of girl he can grow with, that's for sure. He'll always be on his toes, trying his best around her, cause she's such a driven, ambitious person. I liked Mike least with Tess.

I know we hate drama for some reason on this show, by I loved it. I get that it's a law show, but law isn't always fun and games, which we saw gradually from season 1. Damn I got the feels for Mike. Season 1 lost his best friend he did everything for, season 2 his grams, season 3 left the firm for his own good, season 4 fired and lost his girl...HIS GIRL!!! I wouldn't be surprised if we saw him smoke next episode, he is basically back to square one. Damn it Louis, I love that you have a friend in Harvey, but you untentionally dug yourself in the same hole Mike did...darn Forstman. Now I want to know what Harvey did for him??? Godammit Rachel...i can't hate Meghan Markle, but Jesus Rachel, you need Jesus. Lol CANT WAIT TILL NEXT WEEK GO MIKE!!!
