David Cubitt is on his way to Starling City.

As teased at Comic-Con last month, DC villain Ra's al Ghul will be the Big Bad this fall on the hit CW drama, with executive producer Marc Guggenheim teasing that this version of the villain will differ from the one seen in Christopher Nolan's Batman films.

"We really wanted our Ra's to be very different - at least our own Arrow-ified version," Guggenheim said.

Other big additions to Arrow Season 3 (premiering October 8) include:

  • Atom/Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh).
  • Wildcat/Ted Grant (J.R. Ramirez).
  • Felicity's mother (Charlotte Ross).
  • Maseo (Karl Yune).
  • Katana (Devon Aoki).
  • Count Vertigo (Peter Stormare).

Caity Lotz as The Black Canary
The Canary arrives in Starling City. She doesn't take long to reveal herself to Oliver Queen as Sara Lance.

Arrow Quotes

Laurel: Helena, you don't have to do this.
Helena: Yes, I do. Because once you let the darkness inside, it never comes out.

Oliver: I just need your A game right now Felicity.
Felicity: I don't have it! My friend, our friend, was shot with arrows and fell off of a rooftop. Her body is upstairs right above us in a freezer because we don't know what to do with it, with her, so I am so sorry, Oliver, if I have feelings, but maybe if you did, too... I'm sorry. That was mean. But this is Sara we're talking about. Your Sara. How can you stand there being so cold and rational?
Oliver: Because I don't have the luxury of falling to pieces. Everyone is looking to me to handle things, to make the right decisions. Everyone is looking to me to lead. If I grieve, nobody else gets to.
