Jennifer Carpenter is headed to USA.
The beloved Dexter star has signed on to USA Network’s Stanistan, an upcoming series that tracks the staff at the American compound in the Middle Eastern nation of Stanistan.
It features State Department workers, covers CIA agents and journalists all operating under one roof, walking a fine line between danger and silliness while using all coping mechanisms available considering their surroundings.
Carpenter will portray Public Affairs Officer Marcie Post, the daughter of a veteran diplomat and the newly appointed spin-master for all U.S. Government activity in the country.
Andy Parker penned the pilot. No premiere date has been set.
