Days of Our Lives Recap: Sonny Is Stabbed!

Sonny was stabbed in the park after realizing that his husband was probably cheating on him this week in Salem.
Poor Sonny. In the past month or so he’s been lied to, lost all of his money in a failed business venture, cheated on and now stabbed and left to bleed out on the ground. If it weren’t for Maggie’s quick thinking that could have been the end.
But no matter how bad it looked, Victor wasn’t about to give up on his nephew as he made clear in this Days of Our Lives quote…
I don't care what it looked like. He's a Kiriakis. We survive, especially when we have a lot to live for.

It was good to see everyone rallying at the hospital. Maggie refused to leave Victor, Marlena and Victor were there for Will, and Adrienne had Lucas since Justin may be off having an affair with a hot attorney in Dubai. I hope that’s not the case but if Justin isn’t really returning to Salem for any length of time (as portrayer Wally Kurth is over on General Hospital) then I wouldn’t mind seeing something happen between Lucas and Adrienne. Of course their almost kiss rattled Adrienne, as well it should. Her excuse about having to leave to return her library book was hysterical.
The biggest disappointment was that Sonny never got to confront Will when he realized he might be cheating with Paul. That could have been one heck of a scene as Sonny would have been furious, Will would have made excuses and poor Paul would have been shocked that his new lover is actually married to his one true love. Talk about complicated!
But that scene wasn’t meant to be as someone stalked Sonny and stabbed him, then sprinkled drugs on his clothes. Who did it? My guess is that Clyde is still very much alive and this was his way of paying Victor back. We’ll all just have to wait and see if I’m correct.
Nicole once again proved she has a big heart as she came to the hospital to find out about Sonny, ended up comforting Melanie and offered to keep the story out of the tabloids. Even Victor was gracious enough to say thank you.
Daniel still won’t trust Nicole as he thinks she’s obsessed with Eric. It seems to me that Daniel brings up Eric’s name a lot more than Nicole ever does. Speaking of Eric, how dumb is this man? Is he so blinded by his hatred of Nicole that he can’t see that nothing Serena does makes sense. The woman has practically tried to jump him since she got to town but the moment he’s all in, she backs off? Shouldn’t that send alarm bells off?
Brady and Melanie had no such problems. Given both of their issues with impulse control it really shouldn’t be a surprise that they weren’t any good at taking things slow.
Teresa ran into JJ and Abigail and I do love how she doesn’t cut either one of them a break.
Your mom must be so proud of the two of you. You know I thought I was good at inappropriate sex but you two take it to a truly higher plane.

She’s absolutely right. Teresa may fool around but at least it’s with guys who are single. Abigail bedded a man about to be married and JJ slept with his girlfriend’s mother. It doesn’t really get more inappropriate than that.
Finally we head to Aiden’s beach house and what exactly was he up to when he thought Hope had left? I kept expecting his big secret to have something to do with his son but then why would he need a shovel?
